Hello everyone,

I just filed an I-130 petition for my stepson. I am the USC. If you have filed during this period, pls feel free to reply on his thread so that we can group up and update us on our status.

My status so far is that I mailed our petition last December 27, 2013 via USPS Express Mail & just found out that today, Dec. 30, 2013, the package has been delivered.

Anyone here on similar timeline and visa category, I encourage you guys to join me with this journey. This includes members here who are still compiling and planning to submit their petition next month, Jan 2014.

Thanks a lot & let the journey begin.

Hello, I hope everyone is doing great! I am a USC and is about to petition my stepson in the Phils too who is 8 years of age. I read that I have to submit a competed form I-130. Can anyone tell me what other documents and requirements should I submit? I already prepared a cover letter, payment of $420, competed form I-130, completed form G-1145, copy of my birth certificate, copy of my passport biographical page, copy of myself and my wife's marriage certificate and my step-son's copy of birth certificate. This is my first marriage so I don't have to provide any proof of termination of previous marriage. I wonder if these are all the requirements needed. Thank you in advance for any advise I can get.

Hi Doug or Travyz,

Just checking if the visa's were already granted to your step child and how long did it take for it to be approved from the time USCIS received it?

Will appreciate your prompt response.

Bests,

Joy
