I joined this forum a few weeks ago, and I have read most of the posts in this forum and have enjoyed everybody's post. This forum has provided a wealth of information, and encouragement to me. I am still waiting for an interview date from the Lagos consulate. According to the NVC, the case was sent to Lagos on Oct. 31st, and from the DHL tracking it should have been received by the Lagos consulate around Nov. 2. I've sent several emails and I get the same response " there is no record of this case in the system" I am getting a little frustrated, but again maybe I'm just a little impatient especially since the I-129F was approved in 13 days much to my amazement. I'm not sure how much longer I have to wait for this precious interview date. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

DHL may say that the petitions to a consulate by certain date, but the consulate may sit on them for some time before they "Receive" them into their system. It depends on how back logged the consulate is.

In my case the consulate our case is going through can take up to 3 months to "Receive" something from NVC.

Patience is needed when dealing with understaffed consulates.

Also this post should have ben posted to: "The Foreign Embassy and Consulate General Discussion" forum not "General Polls"

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
