I'm sure you'll hear from them soon, although with all these holidays your case might get delayed a bit. I know how it feels and it sucks to see everyone getting excited about NOA2/ their case being at NVC and whatnot while yours is still stuck at USCIS. Good thing is most of the wait for NOA2 is behind you and you'll get it sooner than you think.

After 5 months and 2 weeks we were able to send an e-request from the USCIS web site (you can't file for one right after the 5 months marks as it won't let you). I think that really moved things forward, in fact we got our NOA2 about 5 working days after we sent it. I'd suggest doing the same or calling after 5 months have passed, maybe you won't even have to wait until then, who knows! :)

Hmm, it would be good to double check on it for sure. My i-129f was filed through Texas Service Center back in September and i had my NOA2 by the end of October. Have you had any RFEs?

I wouldn't be too shocked if the K-1 processing times are going to slow down. There was recently some reshuffling of the CR-1s to address the fact that their turnaround times were creeping up above 12 months.

It's normal for other people who applied after you did, or around the same time, to get approved, sometimes with a difference of months. I know when we were going through this, there were people getting approvals in 1-2 months, whereas ours took about 4, if I remember correctly (and there were still people who took longer than that).

Met in person for the first time: April 23, 2011 in Docklands, London, UK

I can only echo what other people have said. Be patient, it will come through soon or you will receive a RFE soon.

For us it took over 8 months before we got approved. We also saw others who got approved after a few months and wondered why ours took so long. The best advice I have is what has been said before; talk to the local congressman. Ask him/her to inquire about your case at the Texas service center (if that is where your case is).
After we contacted the congressman it took about a month and we got approved.

Also make sure you still receive mail from USCIS so you don't miss any information. My (now) wife changed her address (and the USCIS acknowledged the change of address) but they still sent mail to the old one. (Luckily my wife's family still lived at that old address).

Other than that all you can do is wait.

It took us 67 days and we got our NOA2 on Dec 27th, applied on October 18th. That's really unjust when you have December petitions being approved. I hope you get some good news soon. Don't lose your hope, it will come :)

I would call USCIS and ask to speak with a tier 2 rep. The current processing time posted by USCIS is 5 months, and you are at that mark.
