This whole process is not for the faint of heart. But, like most things, there is an end. Just concentrate on that, and stay busy. You'll get there!!

It's rough on everybody, which is what makes this site so great. Misery loves company, right? It's reassuring to know that other people are facing the same challenges you are, and to also realize that these challenges are not insurmountable. By the time my fiancee is expected to get here, we will have not seen each other for almost a year. It's never easy, but our relationship is actually much stronger because of the extra work we've had to do to overcome the distance.

I know what you mean... I'm visiting my fiance now but I'm leaving in about three weeks... We've been together for 3.5 years and it's been hard but we managed to spend a lot of time together in spite of the distance (I'm from Barcelona and he lives near Chicago) He moved there for a while, I moved here for a while...

But this time will be different because we just started the visa process by sending the I-129F package (we got engaged this October) but we won't see each other for at least 7 months. It makes me feel so anxious that I try not to dwell on it too much...

I wish the best to you and to all that are waiting. Like others have said, we have to hang in there and hope that we'll be together relatively soon and then we'll get to spend the rest of our lives together :-)

NVC Left: Feb 11th 2014 (CEAC status changed to "in transit"; called NVC to verify)
