I havnt seen alot of postings where the spouse trying to come over to the usa has a child. Is this easily done??? I lived in Jordan for the past 6 months and due to finances (I speak NO arabic so no job) as well as medical problems I had to come back to the USA.

If his two year old cant come he wont come. (his ex lives in Malta and hasnt seen her since she was 4 months old) I tried to get her to come to the USA as a visitor when I came home for weddings in Oct. but they denied it saying I might be stealing her. So I told him to go to court and get papers stating her mother abandoned her and he has total custody.

So anyone bring a spouse and their children over????

Many have.... If you are considering K-3 then the derivative for the children is K-4 and is a easy addition to the K-3 process

YMMV

You can apply for the child as well as your SO...but I am sure you will need some documents stating the mother allows her out of Jordan and allows her to have a passport. Or if she is unable to do that...then some court order of your SO having both legal and physcial rights...pretty much same as here...This is international law. Also depends on what you are filing for...some more info would be helpful for us to give u some (hopefully) helpful info on...

BTW where in MI are you? I am in MI too... actually several of us from MI... but sorry no Jordanian SOs in MI I think. You should ask Jordanian Princess about Jordanian laws...she should know alot more...

Bonne Chance and Happy Holidays!

I applied for my husband and we listed his children to follow but when we got the package from the Embassy in Amman it said that he could get medical exams on the children and as long as the fee's have been paid for the children. I have only paid the fee's from my husband as we where going to file for the children (4 of them) after he is here as it was going to be alot of money for now and they are going to live with there mother and visit after he comes and is settled. We only had their birth certificates and the divorce degree from his pervios marrige. I am not sure what else we are goign to need at this time. I know this was not too helpful. I was just suprised to see that as long as we paid the fee's they would be allowed to come.

I did apply for her at the same time I applied for my husband. My husband also said he would go to court and get the papers stating his ex wife (her mother) hasnt seen her since she was 4 months old and lives in another country. this is her second child she has done this with (made and left), and I hope to adopt this sweet little girl!

I filed all thru a lawyer so I could not make any mistakes. But once here I think I am learning enough on here where as I will not need to pay my other leg and arm to the lawyer! LOL!

Most of what I have read has been usually woman bringing over their husband or SO. I just wondered if there were any problems with children comming over.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays...What ever you celebrate!!!
