I am new to stuff like this. I am going to be marry the best man ever, but he is not a US citizen. We are going to be getting married in Jamaica. What are the steps that I need to take so he can come to america? How long will the process take? What are the chances that they might deny him. He has no kids and has never been married. I've never been married but I do.have a son. will this affect us? Any info would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance :)

Please read the guide to help you understand the path. http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1.

Right now you are looking at 7 to 12 months to get approved at USCIS. Than you will move on to NVC which is another 2 to 4 months than you wait for interview so you could be all done in a year or longer.

Approval at embassy (Interview) is all dependent on how well you convey you are in a bonafide relationship. You need to show good evidence and the best evidence is face to face time. Be sure to show all your visits with passport stamps, pictures with you with his family and friends.

Be sure to go to your countries portal (click on portal tab at top of page must be on PC not phone). Read the interview reviews and see what others say about interviews and such.

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.
