Did you have any receipts when you were together? Receipts are good to send in too, to show time, dates and place doing things together with photos attached. I sent in a whole bunch of receipts and photos showing when/where we were together during our first visits to show evidence that we actually met. I attached and described the receipt with the photos.

I sent in my RFE and they received it by 3pm and entered it into the system already. I'm sure that you just saw that today! Good luck to you too! Maybe they'll approve both of our petition soon!

Really? I got an email right away! I sent it overnight on Tuesday late afternoon and post office said it would be guaranteed to be there at 3pm on Wednesday. I got an updated change of status text and email from USCIS at 6:30pm. I was so surprised! Waiting is the hardest part...Have you ever heard this from a military soldier...hurry up and then wait! Yeah, looks like we will have to keep on waiting....and waiting. I just hope it'll go a little faster once its been approved!

Keep up the hope and positive thoughts! We're all in this together...I'm missing my love too!

We got a RFE because my fiance didn't send in enough proof of our meeting - he had to send in more evidence! It's not enough just to fill out the form and say 'we met on X date' - you have to provide photos too smile.gif And then he got another RFE because they needed more financial information from him. Combined the two held us up for three months which seemed like an eternity but wasn't really a big deal.

We had a similar situation with my wife. You need to demonstrate a relationship through invitations from friends, photos of family events, stat declarations declaring that relatives and friends recognize your relationship. This is time consuming but it is worth getting correct.

Also read the instructions carefully in regards to completing financial sponsor information. The Adjusted Gross Income is an important metric and alone does not need to satisfy the poverty measure but needs to be recorded correctly.

My fiancé & I went over all the paperwork together on one of my visits & he signed everything. The only thing we were missing was his passport photo (which got lost in the mail forcing him to resend it on a faster service & delayed our petition by a month) have it sent as fast as possible through either the country's post or something like fed ex. Original, signed in ink. No photo copies will be accepted.

I am the petitioner.
