I got my RFE email on 11th may. And since 12th it shows on uscis that "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.".

Is this normal? or is there anything to be worried?

I have not yet got the hard copy of RFE.

Somebody yesterday reported an identical message on the forum. They must be doing something with the database. Just wait for the hardcopy and come back to the online status check in few days :) Good luck!

Contradicting info about RFE's. Some poeple are getting RFE for not submitting Affidavit of Support with I-129 packet and others are approved without it(providing it only at interview)......

Source or link, please? I am quite sure that 95% of us do not file the Affidavit of Support with the packet. It is in no way a requirement for the I-129f petition, although of course it's necessary at the interview.

I'm very curious why you think anyone would get an RFE for this -- is this a rumor or is there an actual post you're referencing?

Relationship since April 2006

I am concerned I might get an RFE from my I-129F petition for 2 reasons:

1. My fiance's passport photos that I submitted are 1.5" by 1.75" not the full 2"x2" size

2. She signed and dated all 4 G-325A Bio forms in the small spaces directly above the large box where the words: "Signature of Applicant" and "Date" are printed

Has anyone gotten an RFE for these reasons?

If it is likely I will get one should I resubmit new photos and forms?

I received notice of "Initial Review" so I wonder what they check during that review. Would they check signatures and photos and issue an RFE then or is that something they check later which may cause an RFE months from now?

We got email/msg about RFE 3 WEEKS ago. The hard copy never came in mail %"¤#¤%#%#! So one week ago we called (tried to call earlier, but they didn´t take the case before 15 days was gone) and they said they will mail it again. Yesterday we got similar email/msg than first time that RFE is in mail...

Anyone else experienced the same, that the hard copy never arrived??? All this waiting and not knowing what the RFE is about really sucks. And the fact that you need to wait 15 days before they even take the note!!! So really hoping this time we get it in the mail... in 15 days...haha.

1.If that date is the first notice you received, is an update, you will get another notice saying exactly the same and that second one is the actual date they sent the hard copy.

2. Wait for the hard copy of RFE, they tell you exactly what evidence they need from you, it can be anything! from a missed signature, to more documents, proof.... anything! so just wait for the letter!!

3. they give you a deadline to response, for me was like 80 days.

Good luck, and just wait!

On May 8, 2013, I received a text and email saying they mailed an RFE. Then on May 15, 2013, I received another text and email saying they mailed an RFE. I don't know why they sent two of the same messages on separate days, and I don't know if they are referring to one RFE or two RFEs. I called them on May 8, 2013, and they told me to call on the 16th day from when you got notification of the RFE mailing, which I would call on May 23, 2013.

Anybody, please post if you're getting similar results.

The first email or text is an update, the second text or email is the actual date they SENT the RFE hard copy. just wait to get the hard copy, normally takes about 3 business days.

My RFE reason was:

  • Circumstances of Meeting - Submit information regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.
  • Last Personal Meeting - The petitioner and the beneficiary must meet in person between Date and Date. Submit evidence of meeting the beneficiary in person within the two-year period preceding the filing of the petition. Primary evidence may include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that indicate month, day, and year); copies of passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps, military order(s), letter form Commanding Officer, or any evidence that will help the USCIS to determine that the petitioner has met the beneficiary within the two years. Secondary evidence may include film-dated photographs of the petitioner and beneficiary together. The following DOES NOT constitute evidence of meeting: disc, videos, emails, letters, phone bills, and greeting cards.

My initial I-129F submission had secondary information (pictures, letters, emails) and no passport pages that show the identification page and admission stamps, nor did it include airline ticket stubs and receipts (that indicate month, day, and year).

For future reference:

For I-129F question 18: Has your fiance(e) met and seen your within the two-year period immediately preceding the filing of this petition?

The answer "We have met and known each other ever since (date), when my fiance was an international student in (school name), the same university I attended in (date)" apparently is not good enough.

The itinerary definitely won't be enough. Anyone can produce an itinerary without having done any travel at all. Boarding passes are very good proof given they are difficult to fake and actually proves that you traveled.

Primary evidence:

Exit/entry visa stamps, airline ticket boarding passes, hotel receipts, ATM withdrawals in the subject country/city, apartment leases in both names, utility bills, etc. (for those that have lived together) are irrefutable as primary evidence.

Secondary evidence:

Photos, bus tickets, engagement ring receipts, affidavits from family/friends may be used to supplement weak primary evidence if the primary evidence can not stand alone on its own merits.

This is very good evidence but remember that if you traveled to someplace other than where your fiance(e) lives, say someplace in between e.g. a different city, a third country whereby it is clear you were there but it's not clear that your S.O. was also there at the same time, then all the passport entry /exit stamps and airline boarding passes in the world won't make your case.

I'm not sure if this situation applies to you but if it does be sure to prove somehow that both of you were there, wherever "there" might have been, at the same time.

It is probably best to explain your evidence piece by piece on a separate piece of paper, particularly if your travels were difficult to understand.

P.S. The affidavits from family/friends can't hurt as well as an explanation from you that you stayed with him/her and did not use hotels, etc.

Quick question. I received an RFE to send a letter of intent to marry my Fiance and it states that "I may also submit copies of any evidence you have establish your mutual intent to marry one another. I send the letter of intent however I did not have any other proof". My letter did not mention anything about primary or seconday evidence.

In reading your answer "The itinerary definitely won't be enough. Anyone can produce an itinerary without having done any travel at all. Boarding passes are very good proof given they are difficult to fake and actually proves that you traveled." I did not keep my boarding pass because I did not know we was going to fall in love and had no idea about the K1 visa process. I send in my purchased itinerary because I had them in my email with copy of my stamped passport. My fiance lives with his cousin, they do not have a lease there with his name. Therefore, hotel was not necessary. Is that going to be problem in our process.
