A question : If the RFE requires more evidence like photos or tickets or chat logs, can we send recent? Because after the NOA1 we made 3 more trips and have 200 more photos and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I receive an RFE via email and text yesterday April 18, and again today April 19. anyone of you experienced the same? Did they mail it twice? Will it be a problem?

No and no. It happened to many others (including ourselves). It's just un update on your account. No double RFE ;)

What else do you think they'd want? Recent proofs are very desirable, because they show your ongoing relationship. But RFE can be anything, not only more evidence.

Ah nice then :P Thank you for your answer. I thought they wanted proofs prior our NOA1, if that's the case then it's nice because sometimes the embassy (from what I heard) don't want to see all of the evidence your bring

All I did to prove it was my working visas/entry/exit stamps to Mongolia, my flight itinerary, and a picture of me with my fiancee, her brothers, and her son. I might have thrown in a copy of my Mongolian driver's license, I don't remember. I didn't include any receipts or anything of the like, but I got NOA2 without any RFE.

I included passport stamps for both myself and my fiance, but my trip to London will have likely crossed the two-year threshold by the time someone touches our file so they probably won't count it, and for his trips here (Chicago) his passport stamps didn't copy well so I'm not sure they'll accept those, either. I read earlier that flight itineraries aren't viable because they're not proof you actually took the trip, and photos are secondary evidence. In your case the visas and entry/exit stamps probably sealed the deal.

We did end up finding some receipts that had names, dates, and locations on them, so I think it's a strong enough case, but I hadn't expected how difficult it would be considering the sheer number of receipts we'd kept. Only three were actually usable.

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a control freak. Now that the application is in, there's nothing I can do but sit and wait, and I HATE that! So I'm probably worrying more than I should because it gives me something to do :)

Hello everyone...I've got a question and am hoping that someone else has experienced something similar.

On 3/18, I received a notification of an RFE - the ususal...my case is suspended until I reply. I'm waiting on the hard copy to find out exactly what they need. Today, 3/20, my case status was updated again with an RFE notification. I called USCIS and they refused to tell me if it's a duplicate or if it's a separate RFE that will need a response.

Has this happened to anyone else?

they send 2 because one is when they report it, and the second is when its mailed

Wil u get an rfe if your passport(beneficiary) is expired?, Will they ask for the copy of the updated passport? is that possible?

What stage of the process are you at? Beneficiary has to have a passport valid for at least 8 months when they show up at the Consulate Interview.

I gather you still have time to renew it.

hI lAURKA.

When I checked my case was already RFE.

Oh so you have the notice but haven't received the letter yet and don't know what they want? Just wait several more days and the hard copy of RFE will explain everything. No point in stressing out now before receiving it ;)

Good luck!

I am so scared. They send an RFE out with mail at 23 April (Yesterday). I am in panic because I am about to loose my job and think I don#t have enough time to get to the US without being completely broke so how long does it take to be approved after we respont to the RFE?

Also, we were together for 3 months because we filed and until now we made 5 trips and have tons of photos and evidence suchs as calls (we ar enow 1 year almost together). We call on the phone everyday like 3-4 times and then we have skype etc etc. I am super scared that I won't be approved :( Anyone in a similar situation?
