19 months ago????? You are way way over the normal time frame. You should have called after 60 days. They are supposed to respond to you after 60 days. Did you miss something in the mail? Did you check your case status on the USCIS site? You need to place a service request.

I review the papers send to Vermont Center, some is missing in the form G-235C. Can I send the correct form before they send me a RFE?

I think you need to call them first.

My case has forwarded to the consulate, what to do next?

Cellas, wait tell the Embassy notifying you that your case is ready to be processed and will ask you to contact your beneficiary, or the embassy might notify your beneficiary and ask to prepare for the interview, however, you could register your beneficiary at www.ustravel.com. you will not be able to schedule interview before Embassy notification, and paying for MRV (machine readable Visa) fee, it depend also on the US Embassy rules where your Beneficiary is going to have his/her interview.

I'm the beneficiary, will the embassy notify me and ask to prepare for the interview if my fiance didn't tell the embassy to notify us?, Should i pay the fee after i get the notification from the embassy to prepare the interview?

My BC is from Colombia and it's in Spanish, well the long one is... the short one is a certified, notarized translation in English. Do I need that one (BC) plus a copy of all the pages of my U.S. passport? Also the vaccinations is that required from the U.S. Citizen or later from the Fiance being applied for? Kinda confused... are those vaccination records required with the first packet of K-1. I didn't see that on the list... blink.gif

+ Always send in the LONG version of the birth certificate (USC) - not the short one. If you only happen to have the short one, include copies of ALL pages of the passport of the US citizen.

+ Always send in your vaccination supplement and medical copies (if obtained) with your AOS. Some countries (like Germany) don't give you any copies of that, so be sure to get them again from a civil surgeon in the USA. It might cost a few dollars.

Also, I would like to add that even though we had two RFEs (one for the K-1 and the other one for AOS), we never complained because RFEs are not a big issue at all. It took only about 14 months from when we first started this entire process by sending in the K-1 application to the issue of my Greencard..... and all that with two RFEs.

Cellas, Us embassies in each country have different rules, but in general, either the embassy notify the petitioner via e-mail and instruct him/her to forward the e-mail to the beneficiary OR the embassy send packets notifying the beneficiary directly about what steps he/she should take. You can register under the country where you should have the interview, your name, passport #, where you need your visa to be sent after approval etc. under at www.ustraveldoc.com under K1 visa, however the site will not allow you to do anything more before the US Embassy notify you or the petitioner that your case is ready to be proceeded, then you could pay the MRV fee, enter the paid fee receipt # and schedule the interview oppointment within the 4 months from the date of your NOA2 ( petition approval is only valid for four months from its issued date) it can not be extended ( I think Embassy could extended it for certain circumstance) . Hope this answer

your question.

Many time when NVC state a date usually your petition is still on the way, just be patient, if you or your petitioner does not get any embassy notification before 60 days from the date of the NOA2, you could e-mail the counselor state you are close to 60 days from NOA2 date and request an action. In the mean time you as beneficiary get all your documents ready, specially Police report ( it takes some time to get it), get your electronic Visa application DS-156 and the rest of the forms so you are ready to go once you or your petitioner notified or contacted by US Embassy.

My fiance has only had one job in his lifetime so far in the UK and has been going to school only. On the employment section of the G-325 can he put a school and put student to fill in that gap. I have some people saying yes and other no.

Can you help or what do you suggest.

Tips

* Look at evidence of having met within the required 2 year period from the view of a third person. In other words 'I know it to be fact but will the adjudicator know from the evidence I have submitted'. Concentrate on providing strong overall evidence to support the fact, as opposed to an abundance of relationship evidence. Distinguish between the two.

* No gaps or overlaps on timeframes for residences and employment questions for past x amount of years on the G-325A

eg

October 2005 to Present

December 2004 to October 2005

March 2004 to December 2004

June 2003 to March 2004

and so on...

My fiance got the mail from NVC today but not yet from embassy. I can get the DS-156 before we get the notification from the embassy?. I'm confused with how the DS-156 works. I found somewhere that there's a form that i should not sign and it has to be signed in the embassy but i forgot what is it, do you know it?

Cellas, there are three forms, 1- DS-156 ( Visa application, should be completed in English on line) and you print two copies, these copies have code and your name and another information, 2- Biographical Form DS-230 ( should be filled out in English part 1 and part 2) and DS-156K ( this one should be filled out with Indonesian language ( I know for Russian it should be filled out in Russian language, just check Us Embassy -Indonesia web site as I explained on the next paragraph), this is the one you should sign in infront of the counsel . visit US Embassy_ Indonesia web site, under Immigrant Visa Interview instruction, click on Fiancé'(e)s, that will open documents needed for Fiancé'(e)s, their you will find all the needed documents to prepare for your interview. You could prepare them plus your Police report in advance, sign and date DS-230 one or two days before your interview.

Just got an RFE the other day. I submitted our paperwork before I knew this website even existed and thus I guess I did some of it wrong. I find it funny that a timeline ( printed out year by year of each post ) on our facebook walls suggests that we do not have enough proof. Facebook is like a track record of everything that we, as humans have done, so long as you update it. I guess that is my fault for thinking too forward.

I have attached hotel receipts, as well as a picture of my password, do you think that is enough? i don't have plane ticket stubs anymore, although I do have an Expedia destination report ( showing i purchased the tickets ). Do you think this is enough primary? I also added in some more photos though just in case they did not have enough.
