Can ANYONE sympathize? We send in out i129f in late October and then recieved an RFE in March and they recieved our response on March 21. After 60 days, I filed a service request and we were ordered to wait ANOTHER 25 days! Our RFE was because I didn't check one box. ONE BOX. that shouldnt take over 2 months to check. My fiance and I have been together for over 3 years traveling together full time for half of that time. We are a completely legitimate couple in love. It makes me so angry that this process is taking so long for us whereas I have heard of others who have done it for the wrong reasons have their visa within their hand within months. AH! Anybody had a similiar experience???

I'm in the same dilemma and frustration like you, we have similar Time line, my frustration is I got RFE asked for all the evidences I submitted with my initial application, they received my REsponse to the RFE on April 20, and I'm still waiting, your waiting time is discourging comparing your case to mine, and yes some people get their NOA2 faster than others, and my be there cases is more complex than ours, but it depend I think on the Adjudicator experience if he is good or trying to be Smart ###, we have nothing to do other than waiting..

Hello, Laura & Ciprian, a service request is requesting a service by Contacting the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The center will issue the request if your case at the USCIS service center where you petition is located passed the Processing time of your type of petition, or if more than 5-7 working days passed from the date of text message or e-mail notice of an action, as in your case if you do not receive your hard copy of the issued RFE you should call the NCSC. Without the RFE hard copy you will not know what evidences the center need in order to continue precessing your case/petition. Hope I cleared some issue for you...

laura & Ciprian, I got my RFE also 5 days before the 5 months processing time for CSC, and my RFE was for the whole Evidences I submitted with my original I-129F, that is to say they lost/ misplaced all my evidence documents, photos, etc. and I did not have another choice other than MAILING every documents/ evidence back to CSC, they received my response to their RFE on April 20/2012 and I'm still waiting. Some people get adjudicated after a week of receiving RFE response and others like me is waiting to hear something within the the defined 60 days decision from the day they receive the RFE response. After mailing your response to the RFE you will receive and If you call the NCSC and asking for request service, you will be rejected as far as the petitioner is still within the 60 days review period. You will know shortly what your RFE is about when you receive the hard copy, and I hope shortly, and I hope that your case will not be delyed similar to what is happening to my case. Keep me posted..

I noticed somebody asked a week or so ago if there was a list of all RFEs so people could look out for possible "boo-boos." So here we go!

My RFE reason was;

The forms we downloaded didn't tell us to add evidence of meeting in the past two years or frontal face photographs. Which is weird because we got them directly off the London Embassy site. So we got an RFE for basically the other half of what you're suppost to send origionally. We started the K-1 appliciation before we found this forum so we were kinda just going with the instructions as best as we could. We say if you're just starting the I-129F download it from VJ...they seem to have the right instructions....

Thats awsome! thanks

Friends and RFE forum participant who shared with me the long suffering waiting Journey, today I was notified by text message and e-mail that my K1 petition got approved finally, my thanks go to all the participants who shared words of encouragement and support. I'm joining who got their NOA2 for the remainder of the Journey, but I'm wishing the ones, who are waiting the best, and patience is the way to go, and every one shall get his approval. I will be still giving my opinion from what I gained through my long journey, however I will be out of the country for one month starting June 16, please do not think that I abundant any request/question because I know how waiting hurts….

my fiance called yesterday and they told him to call back today cz today are like 15 days since we got the notice...and that someone will tell him by phone what is the request of evidence for ...he called today and he got NOTHING . the guy was super rude and told him to wait another 15 days to see what happens( really? 1 month when other get it in 3 4 days..is just a hard copy!!!!) anyaway so he also told my fiance that if the hardcopy is lost they wouldn t know anyway ...in other words...just stay and wait like stupids cuz you may never get a hardcopy of nothing I just hate when other people can decide your future when in the meanwhile they enjoy their family with no stress at all. we are spending thousands of dollars for trips to see each other as much as we can , losing our jobs, getting ill just because they don't even bother to read papers right. we submit the fiance visa 8 months ago and still nothing...2 months we lost because of our layer cuz he didn't bother to tell us that we are missing one paper !!! so this is all i have to say about leaving our future, dreams and hopes in other people hands:( good luck everyone

Hello guys, I'm sorry to know what you are going through, here is my suggestion, when you call NCSC You have to talk to a tier 2 immigration officer ( supervisior), not the front who know nothing, Before calling the NCSC have available your receipt number, alien registration number, type of application filed and date filed. During your call I recommend that you take note of the following information:

-The name and/or id number of the NCSC representative

-The date and time of the call

-Any service request referral number, if a service referral on a pending case is taken, ask for service request #

Step 2: If more than 15 days have passed since you contacted the NCSC and the issue has not been resolved or explained, you can email the proper USCIS Service Center to check the status of your case.

-California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

And good luck, I know it is a :bonk: but all you can do is being patient and try to keep your mind busy...

I sent in a copy of my divorce decree that was sent to me by wife's attorney. It did not have any notation that it was filed with a court. In addition, there was another divorce many years earlier. I noted it but did not document it thinking that it since I subsequently divorced it was obvious that the long ago marriage was dissolved.

RFE asked for the later divorce with a stamp showing filed with a court as well as a copy of the old divorce similarly stamped. I rushed to get certified copies and sent them promptly.

My docket date for the petition is December 7th, 2011. I was expecting approval by May 7th, 2012. I relieved an RFE in April. The copy of the divorce decree did not show that it was filed. I rushed and got a certified copy, express mailed it and got a file date of April 25, 2012. The documents they requested were so simple, a five minute review would show that I complied with the RFE. After reading responses on this site indicating fast approvals after reply to RFE, I was expecting quick approval.

I'm still waiting and I have called three times. First call there was an understanding person that said to call later. I called and got another person that said she would put in an inquiry. I called about ten days after to check and got a rather rude person on the line that was quite cold, said the process could take even more than six days and essentially blew me off.

Well, I am still waiting and tomorrow will be six months since the file date and more than thirty days since the file date of the RFE response. ( Vermont has normal process time of five months)

Any thoughts or advice.
