Hi! I just joined this site and after reading some of the conversations I found out that some people were required to send a copy of their passport to be included in the I-129F application. I did not send a copy of my passport as proof that I met my finace last year. I did however send pictures of us together during my vacation. Will I receive a RFE because of this? I filed the petition last September 16, and I got the NOA1 on September 22. I've been waiting for 2 months now for the NOA2. Any ideas? By the way my petition is being processed in CSC.

you will probably get rfe for this, they will request your copies of passport pages witht the visa stamps entering phillipines, this is the best proof of meeting within last 2 years :)

pictures are secondary proof, and no matter how many pics u have sent, if u didnt send primary evidence , u will get rfe..

Will this cause a delay to my case? Can I send the copy of my passport now even if I have not receive the RFE?

MIKE, I HAD TO SEND MUCH THE SAME THING TO THEM, BECAUSE I SENT THE WRONG PAGES OF MY PASSPORT. IT ONLY ADDS ABOUT 2 WEEKS IF YOU ARE RIGHT ON IT. THEY RECEIVED MY RFE THE 19TH OF NOVEMBER AND HER VISA WAS APPROVED TODAY,24 NOVEMBER.

SO, NO SWEAT. JUST DO EVERYTHING THEY ASK, AND IT WILL MOVE RIGHT ALONG.

Thanks Jim, now I can stop worrying to much about the delay. If I may ask which pages did they want on the passport?

MIKE,, I INCLUDED THE PAGE WHEN I ENTERED THE RP, AND THE ONE WITH ME GOING OUT, INCLUDING THE MAIN PAGE WITH MY CONVICT LOOKING PICTURE. I BLEW THEM UP SO THEY COULD BE SEEN BETTER. ALSO I GUESS THEY COULD NOT SEE THE PAGE ON MY DIVORCE THAT SHOWED THE DAY OF FILING.

I THINK YOU WILL HAVE NO TROUBLE.

JIM

P.S. IF ANYBODY KNOWS HOW LONG IT TAKES FROM NOA2 TO THE INTERVIEW, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS,

JIM

I do agree. I finally had gotten a lawyer who by the grace of God has helped me free of charge. She looked over our application and seen that the I-129F and the G-325A's were not the newer ones. Even though we had gotten our applications at the embassy in Addis Ababa. So yes get all of your docs off of the uscis web site.

Now that's some good advice!

I think I got everything covered: I was born in NYC and got a certified copy of my BC from Health Services, and I send my passport too. Sent her passport as well, her visa when she came here, my visa when I went there, visa stamps for all trips, photos for all trips with dates and places.

One question: She honestly does not know the whereabouts of her father since he abandoned the family when she was a baby. This is a common situation in Russia. So she put his name in, but current address is unknown, a perfectly honest answer.

Might this be a problem?

I sent in my I-129F packet for my fiance in Haiti without his signature on the G325a form. I read somewhere that he may be able to sign it later on at the consulate. Will this be a problem? I am afraid they will send it back.

This is a good thread. I just joined in the last hour, and already wishing i had known about this site 4 months ago when we filed. We got the NOA1 like a week after but heard nothing since, and after cecking the check list here, i know for a fact that we didn't send in the letters of intent as we were never told to! ARGH! Expecting a RFE soon. Anyone know how much time this might add? Thanks

I got an RFE for this. Just sent all our info back to the CSC last Monday. They've been "working" on it since Thursday, Dec 2. Hoping to be in approval status at LEAST by next week!

Wow you got your NOA2 so fast after they received your RFE! Did they update your case to approved online? Or did your NOA2 just arrive in the mail?
