It all depends on the employee adjudicating the case, it is their own whim. It is actually not required but if requested, it needs to be sent.

Just about to submit the I-129F. My fiance and I were both students at an American university and a UK one. Do you think that transcripts and acceptance forms and ids from the time we were both at each would be primary evidence. I mean I don't know alot of people who save all of the documents you need like boarding passes, etc. And I my passport was never stamped both times I went into Manchester.

What do you think?

It should be enough, you may want to check with the airline you used to see if they can provide proof of travel.

Just got a RFE. They asked for something we already send them.

My fiance has been married twice before. He send both the divorce papers. The first one is very long and detailed since he has 2 children from that marraige and it includes details of custody and things like that. The second one was a "do-it-yourself" divorce through the florida divorce court.

The official divorce papers is very basic, but it is the formal divorce papers as issued by the court.

We plan to contact the Florida courts to see if there is any additional paperwork we can send, but I actaully believe that they just missed the correct papers since my fiance just send our package as one huge stack of papers with no dividers of tabs.

I will update we have send the RFE back (and hopefully gotten our RFE)

- We had an RFE also, like the person who first started this forum, we did not send in all the things listed on VJ only the information listed on the Embasy site, and once we gathered all the information and sent it in, we got the exact same notification. That they would notify us in 60 days of the date they recieved the infomation.

- I had only found VJ recently and now, reading on the wealth of information here, I am kind of dreading the fact that I may have to wait 60 more days for them to hit me with another RFE.

Once upon a time last fall I read this entire post and got worried that I might get an RFE. Well I did get one today via email, no hard copy yet... but I am feeling pretty positive about it. Just wondering if there is a difference between initial / additional evidence. (my rfe said initial)

We didn't send it and no one asked about it, but I've heard of some people getting an RFE and they requested it. It seems to depend upon the person adjudicating the case. You can only wait and hope it is not necessary.

if i am missing something and get a RFE, how much longer will it take me to complete the process? will my case be slowed down by a lot?

Our case was slowed by about 3 weeks due to a RFE. It is different for everyone. For some the case is delayed by 2 weeks; others, two months. Usually the delay isn't too bad.

Hello everyone,

on Dec. 15th 2008 my fiancé sent in the Petition for K1, and received NOA1 on Dec. 22nd 2008. I recently just found this page and started to read my way through stuff. I also read again the required forms for the K1 Visa. And there it leaped to my eyes: We forgot the letter that states that we intent to get married withing the 90 days!! So is there any way to sent it to them before getting a RFE, or do we wait until we get a RFE?

Somehow we totally read over that part and I am really mad at myself now....

You definitely have to wait for them to send the RFE. It NEVER works to send in extra paperwork before they contact you. Get it ready just in case, so you can send it in immediately in case you get an RFE. Good luck!

where i had to prove my citizenship...i only sent copies of only some of the pages. (i didnt make copies of the blank pages). so i will most likely get a RFE. i sent it in yesterday so how soon do you think they will send me the RFE?
