hi everyone,

I am living and residing in Germany since 1985 (i am from originally from the Phils). Im holding a German passport since 1991. I sent all docs to NVC, i have found out today that i still need to submit the most updated POLICE REPORT from the Philippines. I told the operator that i sent a German Poice report (like i said i am living here since 1985), and the most updated is (off course) the German one. I told them i still have the Police Report issued in 1984 which i needed for my German Visa before i left the Philippines in 1985. But my question to the operator is, i wont be having any record in the Phils from 1985 til present because i am since then in Germany, and why cant they accept my Police report issued in 1984 which was valid til my stay in the Philippines. All of them insisted that i need to get the most latest police report in the Philippines. So my German Police report for them is not the most updated one inspite of the fact that i am here since 1985, and my record is eversince is very clean. Very frustrating, cuz i dont how would it take again before i ll get my police report in the Philippines.

I informed NVC, that i need to have the visa because the airline i am working for is ready to relocate me to LAX but the visa should be issued very soon. It would be a great opportunity for me to work for the same company at the same time be with my husband for good. It seems that i need to wait another monthssssss for my visa, and probably by that time i will be then jobless.

Its very sad, i dont know when will i see my husband again. We didnt plan anything this year cuz we are saving money, for our new life in US.

Hope that you guys wont experience the same frustrations like mine..

take care vjs...christine

FYI - This isn't exactly an RFE, but my packet was returned to me because the idiot at the post office didn't put the postage paid sticker on. A word of advice, don't bother with USPS, ALWAYS go with FedEx. And make sure you use the FedEx address to send to, not the PO Box!

hi elw! or to anyone who can help me understand..

i hope you can help me clarify things about the 'meeting in person in the past 2 years' requirement. my fiance and i have been in a relationship for 10 years now, since 1998. i left for the US in 2003 and only came back once to visit him and that was in december 2005. we are in constant contact though through texts, emails, chat and long-distance calls. does this mean that i'll have a problem since i haven't seen him in the last 2 years? or does this requirement only mean that a petitioner should have known/met his/her fiance/e for more than 2 years?

They do not care how long you have known your fiance. In fact some people who file have known each other only for a few months or less! The only thing they care about is if you have met IN PERSON within the last two years. Waivers for the requirement do exist but I have never heard a case so far where they have approved them. Therefore YES, you will have a problem if you didn't meet in person within the last two years. Please do NOT send in the I-129F application till you make another trip to see your fiance in person, and save all proof (like photos, itinerary, boarding pass, hotel receipts in his country etc). It does not even have to be a long trip, even a week is enough. If you file the application before you meet in person again, it will be refused! :crying:

Hi,

We also got a RFE, not yet the hard copy but I saw it on the USCIS website. We are still waiting for it. I have a clue what it can be about: my fiance forgot to mention in his G-325A his last occupation abroad. He became an American by naturalization so it is obvious he had a job abroad (in his home country) and even if he hadn't had one, he should have filled in :"none". right?

But my fear is: still, what if the RFE is about something else, should we send besides the requested information, the correct G-325A?

I know I'm getting all paranoid but waiting is extremely difficult, so many thought, fears,...what if this, what if that...

hi

My USC fiance got conned by a bogus agency on the I-129F and we only just found out after 8 months of waiting in vain (he lost the reference number so we were going by the USCIS Processing Times). :crying: Had I found VJ sooner it would have been obvious since we were not asked for any of the supporting documentation and I wrongly assumed that would all be requested at the interview stage.

We are now preparing to file the I-129F properly. I really want to avoid an RFE when we file because my fiance was planning a visit here when we discovered the scam and I dont want him to delay it 'just in case' there is an RFE. BUT the only Primary evidence we have of our meeting is 2 stamps in my passport, one boarding pass for part of my last journey, and 2 ATM tranactions on my Bank Statement. Secondary evidence we have lots of emails/messenger logs/phone records but only 5 photos and nothing else.

Is this likely to be enough? We could get affadavits from people at a push - do they have to be proper affadavits witnessed by a notary, or would a simple letter suffice?

Our only other alternative is to wait until he comes here to visit and collect more evidence but having wasted 8 months already we want to get on with it.

I saw another reply on this thread where someone had the RFE sent to their mother while they were out of the country and she forwarded it to the UK so there was minimal delay and while I guess this is risky its another option.

I've spent all day reading this thread and going off investigating other websites but am still totally confused.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated as we dont want to mess up again - looking at the timelines on here, we could potentially have been married and together by now if we hadnt got conned.

Muircat, Sorry about the bogus agency that is really sad. :crying: Anyway study the K1 Guide here on VJ, sounds like you have enough evidence, all you can do is send it in now and hope for the best. For the entire journey my fiance and I only had 6 photos together and we did fine.

Stepha, I hear ya! I fretted also over the RFE for nearly two weeks before it arrived in our mailbox, and it was what I thought it would be for (more relationship proof). Just gather up and get ready everything you think it may be for, and wait. Hopefully the RFE will be for something you can correct relatively easily. :star:

Don't even think of giving up, this is a standard text that they post, we received the same for our RFE. I can understand you feel like ####### with this second RFE but don't give up. Age gap can't be a problem, at least I don't think it can be. Just hang in there, it will be ok, it will take a little more time but it will be ok.

I am also afraid of receiving another RFE as, when announced that we would receive a RFE we looked through the papers and discovered a mistake, but the RFE was for something else. What if we receive now another RFE for what the mistake we had discovered?....but what can we do? wait....and wait....

oh boy, I like I found this group with RFE's. On the Uscis site we got a letter sent out on Oct 15 08 on RFE. I can't even imagine or put together what it could be. *sigh* wait wait wait is all we can do but as long as we provide what they need. They will give us what we need. To be with our beloved!

Now my question earlier was: When we send in the evidence they need, do we send only what they are asking for or do we gather up the whole package again and resend the whole darn thing??! 129f

Cindy, you send back only what they ask for, not the whole package.

You can start already by taking a look at your papers and see if you forgot to add something, anything, like a N/A.

I did this while waiting for the RFE and discovered a mistake.....still the RFE was for something else
