that's a pretty common RFE. from what I've read on here, i believe they'll just send you a piece of paper to check off the boxes and send back to them.

Guys ,I just realized on my I-129F that

Part 3 Page5 Questions about convicted crime. He didnt check any of those boxes.

I hope I get the RFE instead of get rejected . Im so worried. :crying:

Usually it gets to you in about a week. How long did it take for you to get your noa1 hard copy? It will probably take as much time.

They usually respond in about 2 weeks, but can be longer, there's no exact timing.

Good luck!

Thanks, I am hoping to get it by tomorrow, although it is not likely, I am just beyond impatient at this point. After 8 months of waiting already at TSC!!

Hi everyone I need help and advice. We have RFE because he has been convicted with one of the crimes indicated more than twich such as his DWI. He previously submit all his police records and now they are asking for court convictions with courts sealed sign and signature so he sent a waiver of from the court with all the detailed convictions. Now we are just confused because its written in the evidence notice :

Miscellaneous : SUBMIT A SIGNED AND DATED STATEMENT REQUESTING A WAIVER FOR YOUR CONVICTIONS AND EXPLAIN WHY THE WAIVER IS APPROPRIATE UNDER YOUR CIRCUMTANCES.

COURT DISPOSITIONS

.BLAH BLAH.......THE FINAL DISPOSITIONS SHOULD BE OBTAINED FROM THE COURT WHERE THE HEARING TOOK PLACE.... BLAH BLAH

so when my fiance go to the court he got a waiver of his convictions for all the charges with sealed signed. He sent this back to uscis but now we are just confused are they asking for him to make statement also to request for waiver of his convictions????

Hi Everyone,

When checking the website for the status of my application I learned they are sending an RFE letter. How long does it usually take to get the actual letter explaining what they need? I'm so stressed wondering what they want! Any input would be appreciated!!!

Hi Natasha,

In my case, it took 1 week to receive the hard copy of RFE, and less than 2 weeks after USCIS received our reply, they approved our petition.

Don't worry and hang in there :)

Just wanted to offer my experience with an RFE. We sent our I-129 F off Jan 5 of this year. We received an RFE Feb 16. My fiance had a very old DUI and a reckless driving charge offense. As this was only 2 offenses we did not check them off on the form and I didn't send any court documents. HOWEVER, in my letter of how we met and have been meeting over the course of our relationship that I sent with the package I had mentioned he was not allowed into Canada because of these charges so our visits were always in Washington state. This was the only reason they wanted these document because I wrote about the charges! lol Oh well, I was up front and once they received the court records it was smooth sailing from there. It probably cost us an extra month on the wait time in receiving an approval.

Hello everyone,

In need of a little advice. I am sending back my RFE, what do I include in the envelope? Do I include the whole letter they sent to me? Or just the first page? Please advice :)

Thanks

I only sent back the RFE letter and the documents requested. (i made a copy of the RFE for my records just in case).

My RFE reason is we forgot to check boxes on Page 5 Part 3

So, they send a paper with just those questions for my finance to check and sign

and we have to send it back. No envelop attached with mail just the cover page.

We sending it back tomorrow. Such a soul destroying processs ughhhhhhhhhhhhh

Our tracking thing on the uscis website was updated today that they are sending us an RFE. I have my suspicions that its because my fiance didnt include ALL pages from his passport so I suggested he get a long form birth cert AND photo copy all pages and have that waiting.

How long do RFE's usually take to arrive? (I just saw the answer to this a page back!) We haven't received our hard copy of our NOA1 yet so I'm not sure at all how long it will take to get to his place.

Also- do they get sound out from your processing center or from texas? our processing center is in California which is the same state he is in so I am inclined to be a little more optimistic about length of wait if its coming from within the state. Thanks for any info!!

For RFE I have one recommendation for everyone. Send a packet so thick so they don't question twice. Just send as much evidence as you can send and get creative. You are an attorney for your own case and you have to act like one and be professional. Just like in life itself ;)

I shipped a binded report of evidence; about a 1000 pages, in a priority express box. Approved in 2 days worth of time after the RFE was received.

And no I don't drive Uber.
