In the instruction, black ink is recommended in filling out the forms. However, the use of blue ink for the signature is better than black ink, just to show that it's the original signature.

Has anyone gotten an RFE for completing any part of the information in blue ink instead of black ink?

We got an RFE for his Divorce Decree...but the thing is we already send it when we file our I-129F we got confused why they asked us for the divorce paper when we already send it, is it possible that they lost the copy we sent them? It just annoying and it delays our petition because of a document we already hand over in the first place.

Good thread.

I had two RFE. One for the AOS was we needed a co-sponsor. The second was for my other child coming to join us and again another co-sponsor needed, even if, this time, I had to use the services of an attorney in California to help because I had a lot to do. Even if he said he was borderline, he refused to accept my proposition of having a co-sponsor.

I thought, how could he say no when borderline?

So I stupidly listened to him and we lost more than three weeks. One reason was they lost her file when he sent them to Chicago, I had no news after 3 weeks... and when they found them they gave us a RFE! Now the case is in Nebraska Center, still waiting...

At the Embassy, they also lost our file... another 3 weeks lost...

And when we filed for my child, they asked again for my divorce paper, even if they had them. But it was not for her case but for mine. Go figure how they handle all this...

It's a great stress and fortunately we have people's help in this forum.

Never count on any attorney, even if they are specialized in filing all this.

Again, the reason I used their services is because of a lack of time.

NOA1 August 6 2012

I'm not a reference between packet 3 and 4. Some papers were missing so things were delayed.

Our noa2 was sent july 31st too, we got it august 2nd and it said that that the case was sent to the NVC and to wait to have a mail notification from them saying the case was transfer to my embassy. It would take between 15-30 days if not, email the NVC (thats what my noa2 hard copy said). But here people recommend to call the NVC to make sure they got your case. After that, the embassy(once they receive your case) they sent to the beneficiary the package 3 that contains the affidavit doc for your fiancé and needs to fill it and signed with supporting docs and send it to you, then another more recent letter of intent from him , then the rest of the docs are about you, like the DS, birth certificate, police record… you're on your way! this part of the process is said to be shorter! :)

I actually thought early on the RFE was just the normal process of things. I didn't realize at the time I could have sent everything all at once. My mistake on my part. I guess a delay for only a couple weeks.

It was exactly six months for the RFE from NOA1, then its now been over a week since they received the paperwork for the RFE Reply. Silly omission of three words from the letter of Intent.

anyone know how long the TSC takes? I am assuming the paperwork is on someone's desk?
