Hi all! Just wondering if anybody has gotten an RFE for not including the marriage certificate from any previous marriage? My divorce decree has a statement about my name being changed so I'm hoping that is sufficient but thought I'd check. Thanks!

U mean the proof that "PREVIOUS MARRIAGE HAS BEEN TERMINATED"? or "DIVORCE DECREE". If you mean is that, than i could answer that my fiance's application got RFE for not including it in the application's package. Hope it helps.

Thanks for your response. I know I need to include the divorce decree, but I was just wondering about including the previous marriage certificate because the divorce decree uses my former married name and just has a section that officially changes my name back to my maiden name. I can highlight that part, but I didn't know if that was good enough. My first name is unique enough that I should think it would be clear it's the same person, but who knows!

Glad that I read this thread before sending my package. I saw few places where I did not write "None" in the i129 and G325.

I think I am ready to submit my package this coming week.

The VJ guidelines on assembling I129F states they only need One passport-type photo (see specification) of the US Citizen. Write the full name of the US citizen on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of <Insert US Citizen's Name>". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.and same goes for the foreign fiance. So we only submitted 1 of each.hmmmn, that's the only thing i could think of that we didnt do.do u think we'll get an rfe for that?helpsmilie.gif

Hello! I'm kinda new here. I want to bring my fiance to the US. We have been seen each other quite some time and I was wondering how can I bring her

to the US? If i will be using the K-1 visa, will it be easy for us?

Mikey J., if you have all the evidence that you've seen each other at least once in the past two years... and also have evidence of ongoing relationship for the interview stage, then you're good to go. If you're prepared, the process could be very easy and fast.

First, check this out: http://www.uscis.gov and then... VisaJourney offers some great guides: http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides You can find here a comparison between the types of visas available for your fiance if you're a US Citizen. You can also find information about what do you need for the process and how to assemble your package. Let us know what you decided. :) Good luck!

Well, Mikey J., I don't understand why you posted this message here. I've seen on the other topic that your fiancee already has the K-1 visa. And I replied to this post thinking you're about to start the process... Your post was very confusing. Whatever. If you have the K-1 visa, she should come to live with you and apply for AOS and that's it. What's the problem?

Hi All,

Does having 2 children, 4 years and 18 months, count as primary proof of knowing each other? I sent in full copies of the boys US passports issued from Florence and Barcelona, and certified translated copies of their birth-certificates, along with 4 fotos of me and my fiance together as proof of relationship (a few had us with our boys).

Anyone have a similar situation?

Hi I recieved the RFE notification letter in the mail. Submitted the request and mailed it in. It has been over a week and I havn't gotten any e-mail confirmation stating that they have recieved this. Does anyone know if that is normal? Or is it possible that they didn't recieve it at all?
