How long is a sponsor obligated to support a immigrant here on a fiancé visa?

I currently do not make enough money to be the sole sponsor of my fiancé, and I am trying to find as much information as possible to let the person who might be willing to help me out know how long their obligation will be.

Thank you in advance!

The I 134 isn't legally binding but the I864 which will be needed for the immigrant to get permission to stay and work in the US is legally binding and can last for the life of the person. It is binding until one of the following occur

The immigrant becomes a USC

The immigrant leave the US and gives up their green card

The immigrant completes 40 quarters of qualified work ( which is 10 years to forever )

The immigrant dies

The signer of the I864 dies

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
