I sent back packet 3 on the 17th December and on the 18th it said it was ready for interview but I still haven't received packet 4 yet? Should I be worried or is this normal.

18th December your status change? that's only the status change for receiving packet 3 from beneficiary.

You can always try to call DOS for your interview date. Packet 4 states your interview date. If DOS does not have your interview date then they probably do not have your packet 4 ready yet.

Hey Aussiechik77,

My status has been reading the same as this ever since I received packet 3. I sent in my packet 3 on the 10th and still haven't received my packet 4 email, so I'm assuming it will be a little while longer for you as well.

Cheers

Ok thank you. Seems we are in the same boat .. Fingers crossed will be soon .when does your visa expire? I still need to give 4 weeks notice at work and mine runs out 8th feb. Looks like I won't be lol

I am kind of lost here ... what are packets 3 and 4 ... we received notification that we were ready for interview and just a list of things to bring to the interview ... nothing about sending anything back. Am I missing something?

Packet 3 is the email they send u with the instructions of what u need to send to the consulate. Police cert and medical and 134 and what else they ask for. The packet 4 is a email to tell u what date and time your interview is. So there not actual packets just what they call them

Each consulate has a different regulation for K-1 visa. Folks from the Philipplines don't get send packet 3 (list documents you need for interview) and packet 4 (interview date). Everything is download online.

After you've got your MNL#, you can started your K-1 visa application. Here is the link from VJer, Hank_, http://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

I had to extend ours due to waiting 32 days for I-134 info from fiance (USPS misplaced our package). Our NOA2 expires 4th January. I sent an email to Syd Embassy and they asked for a letter from USC asking for extention and notifying them that we still have plans to marry with 90 days. It has to be signed, scanned and emailed to the embassy. They have extended our NOA2 by 4 months from January to May.

I also sent my packet 3 and the embassy received it on 11th December. Still waiting for packet 4.

We had no packet 3 or 4 for the Philippines, as they do not use them.,.,.,you will be informed what to do to get your interview date,.,.., it would seem to me that the system would be somewhat "standard' for all countries, and the paperwork very similar after the MNL number, or what ever the first 3 letters of you notice begins with.,..,.either use packet 3 and 4 .,. or be like the Philipines.
