I was just wondering if any of you sent pictures... if you sent a lot.

My husband hates having pictures taken... he will once in a while...

but not a lot. Do we have to have a lot of pictures for this package?

We don't go out a lot. We work and come home and cook and then

relax... If we go out... it's to go to the store or a flee market...

Does anyone have any advice on this? helpsmilie.gif

Tell him to take the pictures and suck it up. Not have any will most likely look like a red flag. I myself do not like my picture taken very much at all but know it is important. I'm also finding out that the more that are taken the more relaxed I'm starting to look in them. After a while he will get used to them. I sent in 6 of us with the K-1. We will have many more that will be brought to the interview. The first set it just to get through the approval to apply for the K-1. The real proof is going to be at the interview when you other half is going to have to prove they are in love with you.

for a ROC case,

USCIS wants to see evidence of financial co-mingling - they put more weight into that, rather than photos.

Photos would be secondary evidence.

A monthly journal for 24 months showing all of the utility bills in both names, bank account monthly transcripts showing both names, carry more weight that the photos.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Photos are not required, it's just something to throw into the package. When I first applied for AOS through a law firm, they had asked me to submit some photos and I swear at the moment I thought it was the weirdest evidence to submit to a govt agency ever. Photos don't prove anything. But I did it anyways and I did it again for the ROC. If you have enough solid evidence in other major categories then don't worry about submitting photos. But then again it wouldn't hurt if you do. You don't need to submit an entire photo album worth of pictures, a couple will do. And if you do decide to submit photos, attach that as the very last piece of evidence in your package.

Good luck!

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

huh.png I only sent "one" of everything.... one bank statement... one set of taxes... I thought they just wanted proof that they are part

of our active lives...and proof that we live at the same residence... One lease...with 2 addendums with our signatures to continue the lease..I didn't

send 24 month's of bank statements or electric bills... once their name is there... it's permanent. I did send of couple pics of us... but mostly

it was pics of him and the family... I have not been well and have been recovering from a serious surgery... didn't feel like doing pictures...but

sent a copy of what the surgeon did in a photo... (metal bars and screws) but we have insurance cards and licences with our name and address.

We don't have health insurance together... He hasn't applied for health insurance yet... he is working long hours at his new job...but he will work

on that this next week. But his name is on everything of mine...and we just felt we were doing ok financially to apply for credit and did get approved.

But in Jordan... a lot of people don't believe in credit...if you don't have cash to pay for it...you don't get it...but he realizes that he needs credit for a

home or new vehicle...so we got it to establish better credit...I hope it is sufficient. The Lord is in control...I pray for His guidance in all this.

AND THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS AND ADVICE... IT REALLY DOES HELP!! YOU ARE ALL SO SWEET..yes.gif

If they need more evidence they'll send an RFE - it's not bad just makes the waiting more painful and also depends on who your adjudicator is.

Good luck!

Heheheh... thank you... I will pass your message along... I do have a few and sent them...about 12.... but I will remind him of our interview as well... I heard they ask about where certain items are in the house...or how the house is laid out... but he is very committed... we are lifers... that feels good!

Thank you enlijoe... you made me smile...yes.gif

Thank you Darnell, although I only sent one copy of each of our financial documents... once you put someone on your accounts... it's a lot of paper

work to get them off... so I didn't think they would need all that...especially with bank accounts. Do you know if they call these places to verify... I told them

they could... they can ask for anything they wish.

I guess I will find out soon enough... thank you for telling me though... I have read that in other forums... they want to see if your willing to risk your

finances or credit for this person... I read that also... but I have surely done that. Have a sweet day...

Also, they really did not ask for pictures. They want financial/legal documents rather. so don't worry smile.png

Thank you Charline... you are too cute... the support is very much appreciated.

oops.

Expect an RFE.

Who knows? Maybe you get lucky, no RFE. It could happen...

I would start with getting more copies of your financial stuff. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. No joke. I mean some say you can get one for every quarter but if you do get an RFE I wouldn't take it lightly and give them everything you possibly can. That's what I did. I submitted once every 6 months initially and then when I got the RFE I just made copies of every month. I even had to call my bank to give me access to older bank statements LOL. They want to see you are still responsible for each other at the beginning and currently. Prepare your second year of tax return/transcript as well.

If there's anything else you can think of, anything that may seem unimportant, consider preparing those as well. For example, I added a list of my health insurance claims made for both of us which I never thought to include in the first place.

You may potentially get a vague RFE asking for evidences that covers the entire duration of your marriage so start preparing now just in case so you don't have to wait too long before you submit your response.

Good luck.

So V... what other evidence do you think I could send...IF they ask... I sent everything with our name on it... he is on everything of mine.... do you have any suggestions?
