I just received approval notice for i-130 & i-129f however I also filed AOS i-485 on the 10th of december..so confused.

If the I-130 made it to the NVC before or at the same time as the I-129F then the NVC would have closed the I-129F and would not have been on the K3 path.

OP, I was always the one to call USCIS (I was the beneficiary), and other than the LOOOOOOOONG waits, they helped me. Call, ask to talk to supervisor (or tier 2, however you want to word it) and make sure the I-130 has been married up to the I-485. It shouldn't have been necessary, but people are not infallible, and maybe someone missed hitting some keystrokes to combine them together.

It would have been necessary in the OP's case since the I-485 wasn't accepted by them until after the I-130 was approved. Generally speaking, it wouldn't be necessary of course.

See, that's what I don't get - I was in the process of a CR-1 visa and switched to AOS. I never had to call them once the I-485 was accepted, everything went smooth with it, but MAN did I have to call them a lot before that. The last time I called them was about how to get the I-130 back from NVC. Maybe because it was more of a general information type question?

If someone files an I-130, it's approved, sent to the NVC and then in the meantime they file an I-485, USCIS will request the approved I-130 back from the NVC themselves, when you submit a copy of the approval notice of the I-130 along with the I-485. You do not have to do anything for this to happen.
