No I was fairly paid as a Temp and treated fairly for the most part. They did call me and ask me to report 3 different times and when i got there, they sent me back home. Two of those times they called me right back. However it was peak season...Crazy mad busy place.

That wasn't FEDEX, that was the subcontracting agency,

and they are 'already in' for a piece of the pie.

Look, all this was put together way before you had an interest,

and without your input and sayso. It's a morphed business model, morphed over time, and you had no input on the morphing.

You missed your opportunity to be pertinent..

And that's ok !! A seasonal part-time job is sometimes a boon. Try not to turn it into a boon-doggle, or you'll be replaced quickly .

How dare you say 'NO' to me? Stop it with the thread drift, or I'm gonna call the Psychiatric Sherrif's office and ask for a home visit wink.png

On a lighter note - I know yer a VET - did you sign up for VRAP or any of the new GI educational programs? These funds can be transferred, easily, to your wife, for her training. It's sorta cool, if/when you or her finds the right training program.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I actually worked for and reported to Fedex employees, but was paid thru a temp agency.

Training sounds too much like work

VRAP is gone.

Post-9/11 GI bill benefits can only be transferred to your family if you opt to do it prior to getting out. And doing so incurs an ADSO of 4 years, except in special cases.

no, VRAP has 3 more months, but he would have had to sign up prior.

Can you imagine? His wife taking a 1 year tech course in Pharmacy or Medical Technician, all paid for by Uncle Sugar ?

Straight from the VA website:

VRAP Applications are now Closed

By law, VA cannot accept applications for VRAP after October 1, 2013.
If you have been approved for VRAP training benefits, please enroll in a training program as soon as possible in order to receive the greatest benefit amount available through the program. Training benefits will be paid through March 31, 2014.
