Looks like it but can't tell accurately until after the fact. You always have to know where you are in the cycle. It takes a while to tell. But the types of stocks hitting new 52 week high gives a clue.

All of my work and 35,000 hours of experience in the market is flashing bright red at me. That does not mean you can always time it on the day, week or even month that it happens, but it gives you a better idea than most.

I'd be very surprised if markets are much higher a year from now.

While there might be a correction I don't expect a recession as long as the money supply is abundant. Check out the chart below.

I think this market underneath the surface looks like #######. I'll keep shorting it :)

Also depends on your time horizon and what you consider near term. Like I said on my different time frame charts(15, 30, 60 etc) I can be long as well as short. But as a trend trade definitely bearish.

I believe I'm going to feed a little more into EM - buying this dollar bounce. Not a lot, maybe another 5%

Holding a lot of fixed income stuff and cash. Nowhere to put it but the mattress.

Pretty much.

Can you be a little more specific about EM? Just curious which ones.

Yes, dollar will keep going higher in coming years. I just temporarily exited my long dollar trade several months ago as updated here but long term bullish still.

Do you have anything productive or constructive to add or just wish to continue with your silliness?

Dollar needs to fall to make money here so I'm in for a short term hit. After that, I think the currencies will stabilize rapidly. It's a hunch. I've already made a little money here so no big deal.

When I looked through the holdings it looked like about 65% Asian and 25% Mexico/South America, rest short term and cash. Asian was spread through Korea, Indo, Malaysia, HK, China, Taiwan and South American holdings were in Brazil, Argentina, Peru.

This is fire and forget stuff, bottom buying. Intermediate to long term. I'm just playing around.

I believe this is my thread, I'll make it as silly as I want (within TOS of course).

Feel free to start your own thread for the "serious stock market investors of VJ".

Make it short and sweet as I believe most EMS will participate in the carnage.
