Hi all,

I have submitted Civil Documents for my wife and son and i got a checklist email few days back from NVC.

======================================================================================

PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:
• All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police
certificates from the local Passport Office.
• Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their
local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.
• Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District
Police Station serving their area of residence.
• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying
outside India.
======================================================================================
My wife got the police clearance certificate from the Same Passport Office from where she got her passport.
Not sure why i got this checklist email from NVC.
Also when i spoke to Customer Rep on two occasions each gave me a different answer.
1) First one told me they don't expect us to send the Police Clearance certificate to NVC. He mentioned that when my wife goes for Interview she needs to bring it along with her.
2) Other Rep asked me whether we have checked the instructions reg police clearance certificate and send the appropriate one. I answered Yes and he said whether i want them to start a recheck process (he also indicated it might take time). I told him to start the recheck as i have sent the original we got from Passport Office in India. He informed me after the recheck if they find it is not according to requirements then they might ask for it again which will further delay the process.
I am confused why each rep has a different opinion about the same thing.
Thanks.

Did you ask them whether they have the PCC? Did they say they can issue a CC and bring PCC to the interview?

Hi All,

I didn't know we have the option of PCC being reviewed at the interview. I will check with them.

Thanks

Hi All,

Spoke a Customer Rep today and she told me they don't want us to send the PCC to NVC. (Even though the checklist says so).

She told me to bring the PCC while attending the interview. Looking forward to case completion status (who doesn't :-) )

Thanks
