I just got email that my I-130 Application got transfered to USCIS local office after 6 months of waiting,,,,anyone know how long it takes to before they answer me????

It didn't go to local office it went either to Nebraska service center , Texas service center or California service center. No one can tell you how long some got transferred like you in October and still waiting. Some got approved this month. It all depends on the service center. Just have to wait. Hopefully within 60 days you will hear.

You are lucky to received a notification that your case was transferred to local office after 6 months of waiting. In our case before, we waited around 9 months after we realized our case was just sitting at Atlanta Local office when we started sending letters to senators and Congressman to make a follow up of our case. When we received a letter from USCIS September 6, confirming our case was at their office, the process went so fast.

Sept. 6 - email from Atlanta USCIS Local Office

Sept.21- Hubby received a call from USCIS doing Phone interview

Sept.24 - APPROVED

Sept.28- Hubby received Noa2 (Hard copy)

Now we are on NVC stage waiting for our documents to be review and hope it will be CASE COMPLETE and no Checklist.

Congratulationss!!! I hope my application get approve faster,,,they said local office but some VJ mentioned it is one of the centers!!! I did not know they do phone interview with the beneficiary!!! is your hubby in the USA? thanks for the reply

Yes my hubby is in the states. I am the beneficiary. Our case was originally sent to MSC (National Benefit Center). That was later part in September when we finally hear from USCIS that our case was transferred to Local office in Atlanta, since my hubby is from there. I booked him an info-pass that was scheduled September 26 and we got approved September 24. Hubby still went for his Info-pass appointment to talked personally with USCIS people and asked whats next process after USCIS? And he was given some guidelines or informations. I was really so thankful to joined this site and came across some members from Atlanta and joined that ATLANTA TRANSFERRERS FORUM. It helps us with our journey just reading the discussions among members.

Yes, my hubby was interviewed on the phone and it was a Saturday. He was surprised to received that call thinking who will be working on a Saturday. The lady was very straight forward to all her questions. Its all about our relationship. It was like 10min. phone interview. That was Sept.21st. I received a text and email on Sept.24, that our case was approved.

If you are the petitioner, why don't you make an Info-pass so you can talk personally with USCIS at your location. The address can be found in that letter you received from them recently.

You will receive 2 to 3 emails about the transfer notice, and you will get a hard-copy of the transfer as well; this hard-copy will tell you which service center (NSC/TSC/CSC) has your I-130 application; if you received the 1st transfer email yesterday, the hard-copy should arrive in next 3 to 4 business days.
