That changed quick.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Then you need a joint sponsor. Manila accepts joint sponsors for CR1, which they do not for K1. I suggest finding a friend or relative in the USA (can be a citizen or resident) who makes above the poverty guidelines as stated in the I-864p, who can be the joint sponsor.

But you do not need the joint sponsor until the NVC stage. For the initial petition, which will be sent to the USCIS, you do not need this information.

The alternatives to a joint sponsor is using assets, of which you'll need $60000 for two people, or your husband moving to the USA and getting a job that meets the guidelines, which equates to a job that is about $11 per hour.

Thank you! This is very informative. I will tell my husband about this. For a long time we thought he could file for a spouse ViSa for me using his family family's money and his income here in the philippines. So unfortunate.I dont think I have an easy option left now. Thanks again!

You mean from fiance to wife? Yeah... We got married here in the philippines just 2 days ago. We dont even have our marriage certificate just yet. We thought getting married here instead of doing it in the US would make my VISA application faster.
