OMG. The whole process is such a hurry up and wait ordeal. With all the expedited petitions due to people being displaced by Yolanda the process times are getting done in record time. Thank you to our government for that. Now at the NVC stage and its waiting again. I was told to wait 8 weeks for the petition to be mailed from CVC to the NVC. What are they doing, walking it there on foot?

Then the interviews are being placed for end of April, start of May due to the overflow of approved apps. I think Manila needs a few more interviewers. I know I haven't been waiting very long and others have been waiting for months even years for this and I feel for you. I guess I am just impatient. Ok, vent below.......

It is my understanding that your petition was mailed at the end of November and you were approved sometime in the past week or so... be patient.... it has not even been a month and you were approved... you are so lucky... the average processing time for an approval could be up to 5 months.... so congrats!!!! now, the process from CSC to NVC, it depends... I have seen CSC taking average of a month to send the petition to NVC... even like that you are looking at 2 months approximately between you sent your application and the NVC received it... be patient... I know it is hard.... but you are ahead of the game... :) the petition usually does not stay very long at NVC... good luck!!

I'd rather be approved fast and wait 8 weeks at NVC stage... than wait 5 months and 8 weeks as per actual processing times :S dont worry about the interviews. Earlier appointments always pop up.

Did you get expedited because of Yolanda as well? If so NVC could be much quicker than 8 weeks. Even if you are not an expedite I have not seen too many taking 8 weeks.

yeah, on the email, they ask for the NOA2 copy, and full name and birth dates of both petitioner and beneficiary. I got my case number on the 6th week. I hope you hear good news soon
