NVC screws up and there is no resolve

So pissed right now filed for my mom and her case is at NVC at the final steps prior to issuance of an interview date. I completed the form online and sent in the civil documents. Just called in to find out the status of the case and I am being told that documents are missing. I don't understand how I sent in everything that they requested for the civil docuemtns in the same envelope at the same time and now they are telling me as of the review on Dec 23 the birth certificates are missing? How can this be when the got the police certificate and the pictures but not the birth papers? when the shet for the birth paper is longer than the standard 8 by 10 paper and I folded it and placed the pictures and the police record insinde of it? UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!!!!! Such incompetence!!!!! So according to the person I spoke with I now have to get more originals and resend them!!!!!! Just one more thing to prolong the process. I have the copies of everything I sent in that package and the copies of the birth cerificates there in my file of all documents sent, so I do not have the originals. It is really infuriating to have someone tell you that you did not send something when you did and you kow for a fact that you did!!!! And then when I asked so how is that the pictures and police record was received and not the birth paper then I get told that all they can do is put in a request to have the case reviewed to see what all is in there and that is going to take another 30 days!!!!!!!! I am just so MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I would do is call back to NVC and speak to a supervisor. Ask them to case complete you and you will have originals (or ceritifed copies) at interview. Explain you do not want to risk sending again important documents and they get lost.

They will comply don't worry but you must talk to supervisor.

I did and and the person that I spoke to who said they were the supervisor said that they will look into the case and give me a call back within 24 hours. They really don't let you get in much when you try to explain what happened to them. really hope they not giving me the run around. And thank you for the advice.

Its always recommended to communicate with government agencies when mailing with a proof, in this case a shipping tracking number will end the argument of you sent or they have received.

That is not the issue. Everything was sent together and the are claiming to receive all but one. There is not dispute of if and when they received the package they are just stating that it wasn't in the package. so no amount of shipping tracking number that I provide is not going to give what was in the envelope. But I shall see what they have to say when they give me the call back.

I'm happy for you.

But that really freaks me out. In Russia, there is only one original of a Birth certificate (or marriage cert), and the ZAGS office will not certify copies. If NVC were to lose my BC, it would take flying to Russia to get a duplicate (they won't issue one to my parents 'cause I'm over 18), which for me is out of the question.

How did your case get completed so quickly when you just sent it in November...? Are you military or did you request an expedite?

My case isn't getting processed fast enough. It is way overdue as a result of NVC losing my first package submitted I had to start all over again and my priority date is from prior to 2010.
