Jindal is suffering from foot-in-mouth disease...

Funny you never use that line concerning Obama, not even after he promised over and over that people could keep their Health insurance.

Most people - like me - could keep their health insurance as they could the year before and the year before that and the year before that. There were a few that could not because they had insurance plans that did not meet the ACA requirements. Big deal.

A few?

In your mind perhaps millions of people are a "few"

Of course it is not big deal for you, it don't effect you, You weren't lied to.

By your standard, there were only a "few" people who needed coverage to begin with.....before we tore apart our system.

Now the Community Organizer will have done much more harm than good when it is over with.

People got their hours cut, jobs lost, health care policy canceled and the next wave is employers no longer offering it in small businesses all across the country.

And in your mind it is -FULL STEAM AHEAD.

A few?

Yes, a few. Once you take everyone that has insurance through their employers and everyone that is on Medicaid, Medicare, Tri-care and the 40-50 million people that were left out in the rain prior to the ACA, you have captured better than 90% of the population. Everyone but those in the last segment of that list was largely unaffected by Obamacare. The latter segment had no coverage to begin with and hence had absolutely nothing to lose. That leaves a portion of the other less than 10% - not all of them, a portion of them. I'd call that a few.

Wrong again, Danno. The number of uninsured far exceeded the number of people with non ACA compliant policies. Depending on what numbers you want to go with, there were 10 to 100 times more uninsured than there were people whose plans were not renewed for 2013 due to the ACA. 40-50 million uninsured, that's more than a few. And what tearing apart are you talking about? The system is by and large the same as it was - there are minor changes that took place but we still have the same inefficient, ridiculous, inadequate and sorry excuse for a health care system that we had when Obama took office. That is and continues to be my major complaint with the legislation. But at least we've opened the door to those that were previously left in the rain. Of course, Republicans at the state levels have made sure that millions of those will continue to be left in the rain. Republicans aren't happy unless tens of thousands of Americans die preventable deaths each and every year.

Obama et al didn't have the balls to push for single-payer healthcare. Likely it would have taken longer than two terms to bring that about and it would involve fighting a lot of vested interests, so you've ended up with a compromise that amounts to sticking a plaster over a gaping wound.

Better, but still quite $hit.

Putting aside your "dream numbers"

we didn't "open the door" to anyone to be covered, every cent must still be paid for, just not by those enjoying the service. (The young).

When you think "big picture" this one act of mini-collectivism, may do more to educate a whole generation than all the round-table talk shows could have ever done.

I mean here in the space of a couple of years, Young people who went (hook line and sinker) for Obama and his collectivist utopia talk to them actually getting the first premium payment in the mail..... and they DON"T like it.

Sure millions are harmed to provide for the few but...... this national blunder might be a "teachable moment" for the country.

Putting aside your "dream numbers"

What dream numbers, precisely?

we didn't "open the door" to anyone to be covered,

Yes, we did. Republicans are holding one of the doors shut in many states leaving millions of people out in the rain still. Close to a million here in Florida alone.

When you think "big picture" this one act of mini-collectivism...

All insurance is "collectivism" - it's the whole point of insurance.
