I've been approved, that's what the CO said on the day of the interview. They took my passport, told me to wait. Waited for a week now and today I went to their website to check my visa status and it says "Administrative Processing" how long this thing can take? What is this thing? I was approved so what is this :S does it mean they can deny me the visa AFTER i was approved at the interview?

it means they are doing final checks. that's normal. it takes maybe 1-2 days. check again after, watch it change to "issued"! congratulations btw smile.png

yup. those are usually for people who had 221g's. if your case is pretty straight forward, there shouldnt be any reason for the visa to take that long

I see. Well, lets just hope that everything goes smoothly. If not, you already had a lot of practice being patient, just need to extend it just a little bit more. Homestretch though, so congratulations :)

I lacked a police certificate on the day of the interview, but they already received it. I can't see this taking years cause the 221g's limit is 1.

If you submitted the police report after the interview then they are probably just reviewing it now. Back office paperwork at the Embassy doesn't get done super fast, especially around the Holidays. I wouldn't be too worried about it, hopefully you won't be waiting much longer. Congratulations on the approval.

I'm convinced they ALL encounter some time in Admin Processing. It should be the norm and expected. We were there for a few days while they completed the paperwork, printed the visa, affixed it into the passport and then sent it to the mailroom for shipment. Those things all must be done and it takes a few days for it to be done. AP seems to be the best terminology in these cases. Worry less and celebrate more.

There is, it says if you fail to take action requested withing 1 year following visa denial under section ina221g then your petition will be terminated. Are you a troll or?

I think she was referring to the fact that there is no time limit as to when the AP could end. Yes if you fail to respond, then the petition can and probably will be terminated.
