Hello VJ members.

I jus was told by another family member of mines about typhoon haiyan relief measure. So now I'm finding any information about this due to the fact that my wife has been affected by typhoon Haiyan. We received our NOA1 in august 2013 and our I-130 is still on initial review. would I be qualified to expedite our petition?

If anyone could help me on this please. thank you very much.

Possibly yes, you'd need to call and ask for an expedite, and submit proof she was affected.

Thank you for the information. I recently called to expedit my documents and they asked me which situation that my wife is in. i wasnt sure if... extreme emergent or humanitarian that my wife is in. But to the best of my knowledge i told customer service that my wife was in extreme emergent (per definition of extreme emergent and humanitarian sounds the same to me im assuming so i jus said extreme emergent).

My wife and her family had taken lost to their business and their home sustaned damaged from flooding and from the wind. My wife and family still dont have no water and no electricity still and living day by day. would this be enough evidence to consider extreme emergent? thank you for your time.

Well, you're using a telephone, so that's a plus, as that's the first bit.

Is best to talk with an ISO, and ask for the expedite directly, and mention the typhoon with the ISO.

CSRs are not so trained and can't do much on the computer system. An ISO, otoh, can do lots of stuff, handling an over-the-phone intake for an expedite being one of those things.

I do suggest you try again, as you not write of a human at USCIS telling you what they want from you and how to submit it.

You really need to get an ISO, and that's not the first person that answers the phone call.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
