Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On December 12, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Has anyone else received this 60 days timeframe in their message regarding the decision after RFE is sent?

Yes we had the exact same email after sending in our rfe...we got an interview letter a few days after that email

We got the same email too after replying to the RFE and a few days later we got transferred to CSC. Now waiting on CSC since 12/05/06...

It is the standard form letter and does not necessarily reflect reality. They are giving themselves a buffer.

We got the same letter September 14 and nothing since then. Last week I called and asked about the 60 days and they just said that it didn't apply and "look at the processing times" and then told me to wait until 6 months after sending my case in, which will be in 2 weeks. Then they added "call if it is 30 days past 6 months". So really what they were telling me was to give it 7 months!
