This is my 1st time posting so forgive me if I posted in the wrong section. On Dec 3 I got an update on the USCIS website stating " We shipped this approved petition to NVC for visa processing" I keep reading how it is supposed to take 2 weeks to get a case number. I called the NVC it was a (603) area code it was a recording saying they are not giving any information on case numbers, so I just hung up. now should I have stayed on the line and asked for one anyways? Do you know if they are giving them out to customers at this time? I just figured there are too many people calling and asking for them.

I know with a case number I can go to a different site and track the visa, but anything else this case number will help with?

1,000 thanks to you

I sure that you have your case number asigned.

When I got that message after 10 bussiness days I got my case number.

Maybe your case is at the consulate already.

Try to call again to nvc, or e-mail them.

When you e-mail tgem, tgey answer in 10 bussines day.

Type in the subject your uscis number.

Then in the e-mail write petitioner name and birthday, beneficiary name and birthday and after that ask for your case number.

My fiance got my case number calling, but I dont know the number he called.

Try to find the number and call tomorrow.
