While we messed around with Obamacarw which was ultimately cancelled by Obama...Putin slapped him around and re-formed the Soviet Union. It was essentially dependant on Ukraine's going along with it...which they did when Obama showed repeated signs of weakness to Putin. At least from my perspective you have missed the point.

It seems that many people idolize a man that enables dictators.

The President of the United States of America CANNOT, repeat, CAN NOT back down from what he says over and over and over and over and not have someone pay the price for it.

The President of the United States CANNOT stand before a press conference and say "I did not know about that". He CANNOT fail at introducing something as commonplace as a website. He CANNOT make deals with dictators...other dictators will know he makes deals with dictators.

He CAN NOT say he will close Gitmo and NOT close Gitmo. He CAN NOT say "you can keep your plan" and NOT allow you to keep your plan. He CAN NOT say "if you cross this red line there will be consequences" and NOT provide consequences when the line is crossed, especially NOT at the direction of a dictator.

THIS is why Ukraine signed on with Russia and not the EU/USA. In 2015 there will be a new Soviet Union. It will consist of 5 Republics. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Kazakhstan. There is no need for the "balts", they were never anything but a problem for the USSR anyway. They were the seat of a lot of dissent. The Central Asian Republics (except Kazakhstan) were human shields that served only to drain resources. They are no longer needed or wanted.

Putin has assembled the core of resources, infrastructure and industry of the FSU. Obama should remmebr the national sport of Russia is chess. While Obama tries to save his cluster f%k insurance plan that has consumed his entire Presidency, Putin is playing 6 moves down the board

Seriously though, if you're going to offer an opinion you should ditch the bias. You don't like Obama, that much is obvious but you shouldn't assume that he's a sacred cow to me or anybody else.

You seem to be under the illusion that the President is omnipotent, he is not. The US has been steadily losing its power as the geopolitical landscape changes. George W Bush accelerated that in my view and if you're worried about why the current administration doesn't go to the hilt over the likes of Syria or Ukraine it's probably to do with the bad economy (which affects more countries than just the US) and a public that no longer believe that the US should be the world's policeman.

It's not terribly complicated Gary, if you drop your fixation with Obama you might offer some objectivity. Then we can have a discussion.
