Hi,

I travelled on an L2 visa recently. At the time of travel my H1B was in RFE state. My H1B visa got approved a couple of days back. I want to apply for the EAD so that I can work on the L2 Visa. My questions:

1. Does applying for and using the EAD to work in USA.... affect the H1B approval notice in any manner ?

2. My H1B was applied for with an LCA for a location different from where I am right now. Can I continue working on L2 EAD and apply for an amendment ? If required, I can later file for a change of status and move to my H1B visa later.

I heard from people that working on an EAD may cancel the H1B approval. I hope that is not true, but please confirm !
