Hey there, mine took 6 weeks for NVC to receive my file and I called the Department of State (DoS) to get my case number. They are nice and helpful :)

You can check other VJer's timeline that is close to your timeline. I see some that was approved on Nov 18 have already gotten their case number. I don't mean to scare you. Check the timelines to see how things are going in CSC. Good luck!

i received my NOA 2 from Texas Center on Nov 12, NVC received it Dec 18 and Mailed to Embassy on Dec 19th. Keep Calling them every couple days until you get case number. Good Luck!

my approved I129F petition was approved Nov 14th and received the Case Number on Dec 16th at the NVC, the same day I was told by NVC that the USCIS requested my file back. Dec 23rd my Case was updated on the USCIS website that it was received for a review. Is this common?

NVC is currently processing petitions that are around your NOA2 approval date so you should be getting your case number soon. Maybe this coming week if they aren't too tired from all the holiday partying :P

Hi,guys

I have question ?

I approved Noa2 on 15 November 2013

Last night my husband called to NVC to asked if they issued my case number or not but " they didn't even received my case", " it's take at least 6-8 weeks " they said

But you know,my friend approved Noa2 after me 1 week but She already got Case number !!! you know,That's suck !!!

So all yours guys think it's possible that my case lost ? if it's lost ,then it's means I have to start over again ?

Right now my husband and I are only waiting .......until middle of Jan 2014

Any help or advise would be appreciated

10 March 2014 - Case arrived at the Consulate...

Correction, I did not say "months"... I said 1-2 months... mine took almost a month to leave USCIS and it was a month between it was approved and I got my case number.... and mine was at TSC.... CSC is known for taking longer (there are many posts that prove this) from what I have seen... This petition was approved Nov 15 and it has been a month and a half and no case number yet (to prove what I said about CSC and the process taking 1-2 months to reach NVC and/or get a case number)....

LOL ok then when you say "1-2 months" you didn't really say months. Ok.

Please explain to us why it takes so long to transfer the case. Also tell us why NVC cant or wont give people a case number for so long.

The USCIS officer that explained this to my husband must have been wrong.

Just clear this up for us so we can move on.
