I'm a daughter (single, over 21) of a US citizen. I live on a student visa in the UK but am an Australian citizen. My UK student visa will expire in September 2014, and my future beyond that is unknown (I may manage to find a job and secure a work visa to stay in the UK, or may return to Australia).

Is it best for me to put my UK address on the i-130 form, and change if/when I move out of the UK, or put in a permanent Australian address?

Thanks!

hi

you can write down your current address and then when your priority date becomes current in 7 years, and immigration starts requesting the rest of the forms, your mom or dad who is petitioning for your will write the address that you will have currently at that time

hi

because of the visa bulletin. if by any chance you marry, it is currently taking around 10 years.

the i130 is only the first form. after it is approved, it is sent to the NVC or National Visa Center and it will sit dormant somewhere until your priority date becomes current and the second part of the process begins.

your priority date has to show up on the visa bulletin, that means that there will a visa available to you.

here is the visa bulletin for January. check the F1 category
