Wow I was under the impression I took proof, photos etc to my interview not the i-129f stage

Thanks

As I stated earlier, you are from a VWP country, you can visit. BUT it is up to the CBP as to whether or not they let you enter, you could be turned back. As long as you bring proof that you intend to return home it shouldn't be a problem, people do it all the time.

Throughout the K-1 process, I've just flown out to see my fiance (he's Canadian, I'm American). While there most likely wouldn't be any issues with it, we just wanted to be safe. We continued to see each other because we love each other and can't take too much time apart, but it also continues to show a "real" relationship.

There's no shame in long distance being a strain on the relationship. I can't imagine going eight months without seeing my fiance, and it would certainly be hard regardless of the reason.

However, as suggested above, having a letter of employment and return ticket will certainly be useful when going through immigration if she can't visit you.

1) Like the thread they pointed you to yes you can visit. please read: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/67796-yes-you-can-visit/

As something else I would bring with you is a letter from you and your fiancee stating that you understand and do not intend to marry while you are here in the US.

2) Like was suggested by someone else have them get a money order. The check must be in US funds so you can not do. But please remember they need to show they can support you so without a checking account will be harder.

3) If the section about conviction you are talking about is part 3 questions 2a-c then than a and b are not related to alcohol at all. Part c is for three or more convictions. If they were convicted 3 or more times then you would have to check yes.

4) Please look at the wiki for information to send along as there is a lot of stuff you will need to send. Link:http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide.

I was from a VWP country as well (the Netherlands) and during our wait for the K1 my fiancé had visited me for 2 weeks and I visited him for 3 months (intentionally 2 weeks!!! make sure if you go, to not stay longer than 2/3 weeks - or at least state so at your POE).

My fiancé didn't need any proof to show he'd return back home, so all he had was a return ticket and explanation that he was going to visit me for 2 weeks.

I did bring documents that showed we were currently awaiting my K1 and ties to my home country:

- employer letter, stating I needed to be back after 2 weeks for specific tasks

- return ticket with a specific date (they don't like an 'open ticket' obviously)

- NOA1 for I-129F petition (explain that you guys are aware of the legal process of the K1 and that you're not trying to stay longer than intended on this visit since you'll await your approval in the UK, where the embassy interview will take place)

What else you could bring:

- lease form of your home in the UK

- itinerary (if you plan on going on a trip within the US > date(s) of hotel reservation > even if you're going for a few weeks they still might ask what your plans are)

This is all you can do and hope you'll be lucky with your CO like I was.

Good luck and have a good trip!

The possibilities are very different for countries on VWP and those countries, which need a visa to visit short-term. I was also denied a visa to visit my fiancé because our I129F was pending. I clearly stated it on the interview, brought a letter from my employer, two-way airplane ticket, even a note from the hospital where my father was hospitalized to show strong ties to the country...and, alas, the verdict was: "it's against the law to visit the US" as I was seen by the law as "intending immigrant", which puts me in a higher risk group of infringing the law provisions. Later, when I was thinking it over, isn't a K-1 guarantee that you will return home to complete the process you have started, paid the fees, and collected all the documents for it? The two clearly contradict themselves.

Wow this could put a strain on our relationship not seeing each other for nearly 8 months.

I have been married for 3+ years and there was an 8 months gap between engagement and wedding. All this time, we are in two diff continents. The irony is we spend more time talking to each other than married couple staying together. So be optimistic. This forum is full of people dealing with 1+ years of LDR.

I visited my now-husband twice while the K1 was in play. CBP asked me if I intended getting married during this visa, I said no. Other than that, I had no problem entering the US at all.

Traditionally, the UK is not viewed as a high fraud country and they may be a little more lenient with Brits than many other countries. It's worth a try to see your fiancee, right? :)

As long as you have no convictions for any kind of domestic abuse, check all "no" or "none".,.,.,and it takes 3 or more DWI's before you would have to answer yes to the DUI question..,.,.it also mentions three convictions of druga.,..,,,I believe.,.,but the key number is ""3"".,..,, and again, if no domestic abuse charges either way.,.,.,just say no.,.,.,,.,and n/a.,.,.,.,., hope this helps

Also, for the interview for K-1..,.,,. you need at least 20-25 pictures with the two of you together, boarding passes, (not tickets) for airline travel.,.,pictures should name who is in them, dates, hopefully family members.,.,.,hotel receipts.,.,.rentals, dinner receipts.,.,,and proof ""THE TWO FO YOU HAVE A MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP, THAT YOU CAN PROVE".,.,.,..,.,,.yes "prove".,.,., we had over 200 documents, incl. pictures, but I went to the Philippines 8 times during our 10 months, to get my wife her!

Need, help, you can get it here!

it isn't against any law to visit the US with a pending petition if you have a tourist visa or are from a VWP country, which the OP is from. The only time it's illegal is if you enter the country illegally

You're wrong and I don't care to discuss it further.
