YOu said earlier you don;t want a greencard, but you do. That is the only way to live in the USA.

You need to follow the advice given in this thread- have her visit several times, take photos with eachothers families.

Are there other red flags, such as either family not approving, different religions, different income or education levels?

Two things that raises red flag on this one...

A man who's willing to marry a woman who's 29 years older is looking for different kind of love,

perhaps green card, her money, etc.

I'd say, live with her in India, show her to all your friends and families, and take lots of pictures...

If you can do that for few years, USCIS may give a chance.

Otherwise, I think this is dead on arrival.

"Come on"!!!????

Now you are really pushing my "annoyed" button. We don't care if you marry a 100 years old woman that is a billionaire or a 100 years old woman with 1 penny to her name. We are trying to explain to you how to make your case successful and you are either thick or a troll.

I am sorry if I am starting to sound rude but like I said, you are pushing my (our) button(s).

I will give my my final advices on this fórum. Stop writing and stop whining.

I will tell you to READ READ READ READ and RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH. There are many of people that posted on this website about the age different just like your problem. Many of them were able to overcome that red flag by doing what we have tried to explain to you.

There are people like penguin who have been on VJ for many years now and is a unpaid expert (I thank her by the way for continuing guiding us).

They have posted on your question and you still choose to blow them off.

So.....be quiet and stop posting and do some homework like we all have done. You may later ask some questions after doing some research.

By the way if you are a really a troll... knock it off and stop wasting our time.

Hi everyone, I'm his girlfriend. I know it's hard to believe that we truly love each other considering our ages, but it's real. We started as just friends and over months it grew to love, total trust, compassion and respect for each other that stepped way beyond friendship. It's not what either of us expected. When I went to india to meet him it was as if we had been together for a lifetime. We took many pics which truly show our love and lucky for me, I look very young for my age. The hardest thing we ever did in our lives was have to say goodbye at the airport.

Trust me, I know this is hard to understand, we both know this is a big mountain for us to climb.

This is why we need to get all the ammo we can and appreciate your help. I know I need a few more visits and wish I could stay in India with him, but my kids, family and job are here. We want to live together, but the only way for him to come to the US is with a K1 or marriage visa. We're just trying to figure out the best way.

My family has marriages that have a 25 year difference. They understand you can't help who you fall in love with. I am grateful for their understanding, however the Indian culture does not. His family would not be a part of our relationship. With their lack of being a loving family and lack of attention or interest in his life, he has no interest in keeping ties with them. This may be a red flag, but it's honest.

I've rambled enough for now...

We really do appreciate your thoughts and experiences.

Hi Penguin, my daughters are 16 and 25. My youngest has talked to him on the phone and is very exited for him to come live with us and be a part of our family. My oldest is a bit suspicious as to why someone so much younger would be interested in me and fears I will get hurt. I understand why she feels that way and appreciate her concern and trying to protect her Mom. I think she will feel better once she talks to him and they meet. I just don't have enough money for all of us to fly to India. It would be great of he could come here to visit for a week or two at some point.

Well Well Just to let every one know we got Approved today in Bogota Colombia and and my Fiance is 23 and I am 54 so im no math major but that looks like 30 years to me and they did not even ask me a question took 8 minuts at the prison window they make you talk throgh a phone like TV anyway baskc questions asked and we studied everything and I mean everything . I have made 10 trips to Medellín we rent an apartment and my fiance Works in Center down town so yes they are not stupid you cant present a half ### effort so save all your money and effort if you dont want the real thing and speeking of money i spent over 50 k in the effort over the last 2 years that is how long we have kinown each other and how did i spend that it is realy easy 10 trips business class rent at our house food entertainment and general support it ads up quick and I know everyone cant go to this extream and i am not suggestion it is the only way but what i am saying is that if it is not real dont bother you need a real bonofied relationship and be willing to work harder than you ever have and spend the time nurturing the tree before you try to harvest it. No No No you cant do the thing whare you have net your girl just a few times and expect that your emails and other forms of comunication will have much weight but please keep in mind the extream age diffrence between us and put that in context within your efforts. and yes tonight is a very good night in my life and thank you all for the informao on i read to help me prepare but remember last night i was scared to death and did not sleap in the hotel in Bogota and i had no gurantee and no back up plan so just make it real do not lie do not try to bs and do not even start if your not serious because they can see right through this.

The interview was the easyest part of the the process and the people in bogota that worked at the embassy could not have been nicer or more accomodating no matter what you think its not luck it is preperation and authentisity that will get you through but remember i was terified last night along way from home looking for an ace and on pins and needles and one other Word of advice i would like to empart to you if you are going to make this effort go to the friggin interview with your fiance every person we s going solo was denied yes so if your trying to save a few bucks on airfaire and figure you will just stay at home and wait for the phone to ring your a big tool it would be like giving your wife cab fair when she is in labor and ask her to let you know how it all turns out remember she is under intence stress and it is intimidating as hell so get off your ### and buy an airpline ticket and be there with her and after all she or he is the one giving up all the know to be with you dont give up if your in love you will do anything to make it hapen and if a fat White bald guy and have his dreams come true so can you remeber im ugly as hell on top of being old so you have alot more going for you

peace and joy to all

Medellín Dave
