What history am I re-writing? Look up federal tax revenues and tell me when they've last been at around 15% of GDP. The point is that the Tea Party didn't surface in response to taxes being too high as the name of the movement would suggest. They surfaced for another reason. And that reason still occupies the White House. When he leaves, the Tea Party will be gone.

Even senior Democrats admit that the racist agenda angle is misdirection, to divert discussion away from a lacklustre jobs market, debt and the deficit. Apparently, you didn't get the memo.

However, it is clear from your constant refrain that you believe a Black Tea Party would be a worthy initiative, to combat the rampant (yet non-existent) racist agenda that is being pursued by the existing collection of Tea Party organisations. Because racism, be it real, or imaginary, is something to be fought at every turn.

Why would a political cause with a racist agenda need an affiliate comprised of those it targets? Unless, of course, said racism is not a part of their political goal after all?

I never claimed the Tea Party was that smart. If they were, and capable of dreaming themselves up on a such a nebulous premise, then don't you think they would have been smart enough to counter the racist labeling?

Obama's long term goal was a sustainable budget. To reach that goal, taxes need to come up. Any honest fiscal analysis bears that out. To say that taxes need to come down further than they were back in 2009/2010 and that a budget can actually be balanced that way is pure and utter nonsense. And that nonsense is what the Tea Party is trying to sell. Now, you might buy it. And if you do, please let me know. I've got some awesome beach front property in Nebraska for sale.

If that was their aspiration, one might expect that they had it figured out and put on paper somewhere. But one would be mistaken. The closest they may have come to such blueprint was the infamous Ryan budget that even the author ran away from in 2012. That is if they wanted to claim that as their fiscal platform. But even that did not come even close to balance the budget for another four decades and it did so after that on rather lofty assumptions - like continuous economic growth for the next four decades. You buy that? I still have that beachfront property for you.
