Whiskas is bad? Funny, in Brazil it's considered pretty good and I have very healthy cats that eat that.

I'm not stating it is a bad food, but it does contain by products as a ,lot of animal foods do. I prefer to use cat/dog food that has human grade and natural ingredients. One can argue on pet foods all day. As long as ur animals is healthy and happy, thats what matters. Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

oh no...what happened?

well.. it can take a long time for ringworm to be treated and they would have to be separated until we are positive the infection is cleared up. prblem is he was resuced at 2 weeks old and has a very weakend immune system, much like my current cat. that typically means a life filled with medical issues.

this organization really should have put the disclaimer that he has some medical issues. we dont know what we will do yet.

I'm so sorry, Laura....maybe you can keep him in the garage in a cage until the ringworm clears up?

what a cute little kitten! I really hope it works out for you guys...you already seem like good parents to the other kitty, you are probably what this little guy needs. However it is always very hard when they are sick!! Good luck and keep us updated!

If she's already in her bed and belly up shouldn't be too tough taking her to the vet, right? I would just use a basket (I used to put my cats in a picnic basket) to take her to the vet. She might be angry for a while when you get her back home but cats are forgiving.

Ajames, that's better than my Fly, he always sleeps on our heads, he flops himself right on top of our head until we make space for him to sleep on the pillow, it's nice in the winter though 'cus his warm belly is against our head. :P

haa ha....one of my cats likes to sleep right on top of me! They do not like it when Chris is here...poor things!

Lisa: It shouldn't be a long recovery for her. My cats recovered pretty fast and when they were healed up they bandage fell off.

Surely there is some place she could recover without being inside for you. Kennels cost a ton I am sure!!

I actually use the dry Whiskas, not the wet one.

Dry food is good for cats' teeth. A solely wet food diet can mean costly dental clean ups as they get older. But a solely dry food diet (unless it is a special UTI food) can contribute to urinary tract problems (especially in males as their tract is shorter).

Best thing you can do is a mix, dry food in the morning and a wet food in the evening.
