We've got another calico now but she's what I'd call the more 'typical' colors - white, black and orange. She's got a nasty disposition. If you tried to rub her belly she'd claw your face off. I'm a cat person but can't stand that animal. She wouldn't be here if Zach hadn't claimed her as his.

So even tho calico is just a coloring....it would be correct to say 'she's a calico'?

Mimi now sees me and (especially at night) will roll on her back and paw my hand....like 'hey woman, you're falling down on the job!' But one time, her front paws were bent and crossed over in front of her, I was rubbing her belly, and her eyes were closed...she looked like she was praying, lol. I woulda loved to get a piccie of it but the flash woulda terrified her

My guess on the breed (by her picture) is American Shorthair. But maybe calico's fall into another breed that I'm not aware of.

LOL...well I guess I was being a big overly-dramatic but she's not nice at all. If you tried to rub her belly she would reach out and scratch you or try to bite. But I think then she'd run off.

She used to reach out and try to scratch me whenever I would just walk by her.

Oh and I should clarify that she treats everybody that way, so it's not just me she hates. The only people she has ever been nice too are Zach and a cat-sitter we once had.

She's mellowed a lot as she's gotten older. But I still stay away from her.

It's not as high, and she seems safe where she is...I stood there and called to her to try to get her to come down, but she seems like she doesn't know how. Instead of going to get her, I figure she'll figure it out when she's hungry enough.

The only times I helped my cats out of the tree was when my dogs were waiting underneath.
