Purchasing flight ticket for Spouse

Has anyone purchased a plane ticket for their spouse with their credit card and had a problem? I am concerned because when I purchased my ticket with my credit card I had to show it at the airport with my e-ticket to be able to get my boarding pass. Obviously, he will not have my credit card on hand to show the airlines. So, I am wondering if anyone had any experience with this to give me some pointers. Any help is greatly appreciated!! smile.png

Go down to the nearest airline office or airport that that airline flies from and ask to pre validate the ticket. You will show your credit card and ID and they will note that the ticket has been pre validated in the computers .

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

That would work if the airlines is at my local airport, however I believe the airline he will be flying from Lagos is not here locally. Any other option?

Also I wanted to give a huge thanks to you! If not for your help after the denial, I doubt we would be where we are today! Thanks for your knowlege and insight, I appreciate everything you've done for us!!

Call the airline and see if any of their partners can do the validation . Airlines partner with others to cover areas so hopefully there is one at your local airport.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I bought a ticket before through United Airlines for someone in Lagos to fly to NY. The ticket was put on hold for 72 hours until I went to Western Union and paid for the ticket by sending it to United Airlines using their code city, etc for the send to info. I think it was one of those bill collect forms. I then forwarded the e-ticket to the person in Lagos and there was no problems at all.

i second send him the money and let him buy it there to avoid the potential drama. beause they will give him a hard time just for a bribe. I found the flight online and my husband went and told the travel agent the info and paid that way

United is too high right now, and if we could get a good deal from them we wouldn't have this issue as there is a United at my local airport where I could pay in person and validate my credit card. The airline I'd like to use is not located here for me to be able to do that. Thanks though.

Yeah, I am beginning to believe this is gonna be our best bet. Just worried about the price being higher over there, the site I use has a really good discount. sad.png Thanks
