Hi guys I need your help ASAP! My parents are both cosponsors I'm the us fiancé. My German fiancé is now here with his visa we are waiting for his social number to come in the mail before proceeding to the next steps. So my parents want to switch jobs at this point my mom would get paid $780 less at the same place but as part time different position. Or she would like to change to the same place still but different position full time with the same or more pay. My dad also co sponsor wants to get a different job or retire before we file for the green card. Would this affect us getting the green card approved? Basically do they mainly look at income only or income without any change of job. Thanx in advance people. :) <3<3<3

They look at job history and the fact that the sponsor and/or co-sponsor has maintained a steady income and not suddenly had a large increase or decrease. As long as they meet the 125% of the poverty level for the I-864 and are willing to sign the form and be on the hook for your spouse until the conditions of the I-864 are met, then there is no problem. NVC is a lot easier to get the I-864 thru than some Embassies/Consulates with the I-134.

Good luck,

Dave
