Hey guys,

I have been looking through the forms for info about packet three and I've noticed that some people never receive it and to email the consulate, I believe, and get the information from it.

I checked our case status on the CEAC website and it says the case is Ready with the last status change being on 12/11/2013.

At this point should I still be waiting to expect to receive a packet 3 and if not, who should I be emailing to get the rest of the paperwork I need to do?

We've already gotten my I134 ready and my proof of income along with VOE letter and I've had him fill out the application that came with the letter from the NVC and are starting to get stuff ready for his medical while we wait for his appointment letter for his interview.

Also a quick question on the I134, if you stated how much you have in your savings, did you provide a certified letter from your bank or no?

I checked with Bank of America and they are wanting $20 an hour for research with one hour minimum along with another fee.

That seems a bit painful in my opinion. :/

Thank you guys for your assistance! ^_^

Have you checked US embassy in Bahrain portal on VJ? They have some reviews there and you can also PM some VJers who already went through to this process.

If the income meets the requirement, then there is no need to list any assets at all. You can leave all of that blank. If you list assets, then you need at least bank statements showing the amounts you claim.

I did in fact take a look at that and there are posts from this year. I was hesitant to actually message them because, well its been a while since they finished their process and I figured they may not respond.

@ Jay-Kay My income does meet the requirements so I will leave those blank then. :3 Thank you.

Hi!

It's good to see another person going through the Manama embassy ^_^

We never received an email such as that but they did allow him to go ahead and do the medical and pay the interview fee already.

When he called them to make an appointment they said they will just call when they are ready for him.

We have everything together so just waiting on that phone call I suppose.

You haven't done your medical yet, but I am wondering if they had you schedule an appointment or just had you do a walk in?

His was a walk in and its starting to seem a bit strange to me for some reason.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi dear! I had my medical yesterday. Will have one more vaccination this coming Saturday. I called American Mission Hospital a week before and had an appointment with authorized physician. I'm just waiting for my fiance's signed I-134 and after that I will pay the visa fee.

As per my understanding on the email sent to me, I'll just inform the embassy if I already have all the documents including medical. They will ask me to go there to bring these documents. Then I can pay the visa fee and they will schedule my interview. Did you receive a call from them yet?

Finally they sent us an email yesterday but it got into his spam so he didn't see it until I prodded him to double check. >_<

So everything is all together and apparently now just waiting on the final email/phone call. :D

I would say go ahead and get her police records and birth certificate ready.

It took my fiance awhile to get his police certificate, probably due to the holidays.

Also start collecting pay stubs and what not for your 1-134.

We went ahead and got this stuff done as soon as we got NOA2 and its helped speed everything up a good bit, at least on our side.

So far unsure about the interviews.

Their week runs Sun-Thurs so I may not have an answer for that until later this week.

I will for sure keep you updated though when we find out.

Best of luck to you! ^_^

Well this is another thing....The NVC asked for her original birthcertificate.. and also the police certificate was submitted with other civil documents to uscis and NVC

like the marriage certificate, copy of passport ... so should I have more recent police certificate? and also what is this 1-134?? I don't know of this at all..

so far I payed the uscis fee.. also the IV fees and visa fee I belive as soon as the NVC process began. what is this other form? they paystubs and my last year tax return was sent with my affidavit of support (AOS which im waiting for tobe reviwed) this is second time I sent it in the first one I sent there was an RFE saying line 13.a.1 the gross total did not match my recent tax return (I was off by a a dollar and some cents) and also they asked for her origina birth cert which I sent.

She doesn't have her vaccination record so we are beginning work on that this week should she proceed with the medical as well or wait for final confirmation from NVC or consulate? so many questions so many worries.. thankyou guys in advance and sorry for all the pestering.

So you said this was your wife, so I am going to assume you aren't applying for a K-1 Visa.

Both of us are the going through the current K1 process, so we probably aren't the best to ask since your process is going to be different than ours. :/

Since you replied I thought you were doing the K1. I apologize.

I suggest searching through forms and maybe posting up a new thread?

Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck though!
