Why is this a multiple choice poll? Did you really intend for a respondent to pick both?

Just wanted to have an indication of how many people belive that you can work without an EAD.

Obviously some people do.

this actually is not a debateable question IMHO, but i have made my stance clear in the EAD forum.

This section of the forum isnt for debating, its only for polling. you either agree or disagree. no big deal.

ITS A POLL thats it. :D

Its a statement of truth, I'm not taking it personally.

This poll is rather like saying: "Is Murder illegal in the USA? Yes or No". There is a definite answer to the question posed, its not open to interpretation.

Its nothing like that. This is an immigration forum not a murder forum. This poll isnt for debating, it was created to see what the percentage of people here on VJ though about the question.

We all know that there are people who belive Yes and many belive NO. I say NO but thats my opinion.

Mearly a statistic finding poll

dr_lha,

Why is it illegal for a person who is employment authorized to work?

Yodrak

The 3 people so far who voted yes are wrong.

The poll question was about needing or not needing the EAD to work, not about working after getting the EAD.

As for the question: "Do you think it is legal to work on a K1 visa with a unexpired I-94, without a specific EAD"

It is illegal to work here without work authorization (aka EAD). That's not an opinion, that's the law. A K1 visa does not automatically mean you can work here.

Chris-n-Veronica,

That would only be possible if the K1 holder received the EAD stamp at the time of entry into the US. If they did not, then they cannot work until they receive the EAD.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)
