I just want to say thank you to all of you on this website for all the information you post, questions you answer and support you give.

I sent our I-129F form on Saturday and it was signed for Monday. I haven't recieved anything else yet, and my check hasn't cleared, but whenever I start to worry or freak a little, its a great comfort to come to this website and be able to read that whatever I'm going through, is common to this group. I've been reading posts, questions, and replies since my fiance first proposed to me in July. We almost sent the fiance visa papers right away, but decided to wait and prepare. I know that our situation is a little different...because when we met, we met as friends and didn't collect "evidence" that could make things easier for our "journey" so, I'm prepared for the RFE's that might come, and the long wait that everyone else has gone through. I'm sure that this whole process would be almost impossible for me to survive if not for this website. Patience is not a virtue I currently posess but it is a virtue I'm learning to grasp after reading the different things each of you have already gone through. I've only known Greeko for about a year, and we've only been engaged for 6 months, and most days are unbearable without having him physically here. To know that some have gone for years, and still push forward is encouraging to me. I hope and pray that each of you will have the wedding of your dreams, happy and prosperous lives together. To those who have completed this journey and are already on the success story page, I congratulate ( spelling?) you and pray for continued happiness.

I hope you will bare with me as I will probably be posting a lot more as time goes on, and Thank you in advance once again for your generousity in sharing your experiences with us. I will download the spell check tomorrow..LOL

best friends and soul mates no matter what

Debby,

Your attitude alone will make your journey easier. When my (then fiancee) and I began the journey, we told ourselves it was going to take about 9 months and all the worrying and calendar watching wasn't going to help a bit. I have two things to add: 1) after all said and done and you are here with your fiance, all the months waiting will seem so short. 2) the time from your interview to the time you get your visa in hand is the longest wait. Good luck and God speed on your journey.
