First I would like to introduce myself as a newbie here

I'll be turning 20 next month and I will be graduating from college next year and plan on teaching afterwards.

I've been dating a guy in JA for about 2 yrs now and am planning on filing the K-1 when i graduate and am working.

I have no clue where to start and what I should do to make the filing strong.

I've tried reading previous threads, but I feel so behind in the conversations.

Can anyone please :help: ????

Hello Marie. Congrats on #1 Making A Decision. I am not as experienced in the process as some of our veteran Jamaican K-1 posters, but I can tell you a little. My case is now @ Kingston & my file was approved within 3 mo. The best advice right now is to check out the Yardie thread it is soooooo awesome. There is a lot of information posted there regarding questions just like your present one that has been answered. Search, scan & just sit back & read. You will learn a great deal. I think I am the most recent poster who has had to deal with the new Embassy location so I can help you with that as you get closer. Also read the K1 forum in general, it will give you a great deal of info on how to prepare your packet & get started. I will be glad to assist you with the compilation on that too. Just shoot me your questions & I will answer as will fellow posters who are truly wise. I love my Jamaican man & am so happy I have begun this process. It has made us closer & stronger. I am blessed as are you.
