USCIS SENT MY CASE TO NVC

Merry X-mas!

Our case file arrived to the embassy on the 23rd (according to DHL). Our status on the CEAC website still says in transit. I am guessing it is going to be a slow few days because of the holidays. We probably won't here any updates or know our interview date until early next year.

Oh well.... patience U_U

Did you use the DHL trick? How do you know its really yours? But yeah, it could already be there as we speak. Just give the embassy some time to process your petition in. Good luck on your interview!

Oh, we called the NVC and they told us it had been shipped on that day, and there is only one result using the DHL trick. So I am pretty sure it is ours! And yes i understand it is quite a hectic few weeks and that everyone is thinking on the holidays more than their work. I tend to get anxious though xD I probably won't know my interview date until after New Years!

Hi, i have a question, dec 26 the nvc gave me my case number, (K1 visa) they have to approve my case again or they just have to send it to the consulate??? Thank u.

Well, since mine arrived to the NVC on Dec 17th and they shipped it to the embassy on the 19th. So, I don't think they do much with it. It went straight to the consulate. Yours should be on it's way soon, hopefully.

You can check your case status on https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ under Immigrant "Check my visa status application" and you type in your case number.

If it is still at the NVC it will say so ("AT NVC").

If it has been shipped "IN TRANSIT".

And when it arrives to the consulate it will say "READY".

They might be a bit slow because of the holidays though.

It is not enough that you send in the form with your petition. You have to go to the USCIS website to register your email and your i-128f number for the emails to happen.

We are all pretty much on the cusp of things happening at NVC. My NOA2 date, email, is 12/4. Hard copy 12/13. Email that they sent to NVC 12/19. Nothing since. But you have to figure the hiolidays will slow them down a bit.

I figure on calling them Jan 2 to see what is going on.

Nevermind lol NVC finally picked up and I was told that my case was just received but I have to wait for a case # to be assigned. 10- 20 days from today.

call them on monday they told me that too... and after two days i called back and they gave my SDO case number and now is in transit!
