HI everyone,

I just got back from the medical and I thought that some of you planning to have a medical would find the info below useful...

Medical location: Yonge and St Clair for medical, blood, and documentation AND Yonge and Davisville for X-ray-30 minute walk or one subway station. Parking at Medisys building is 15$ and I don't know how much it'd cost at the X-ray location in Davisville. I took the subway. If you haven't made the appointment, I'd find out from the difference medical places whether the x-rays are done in the same building or not.... It does inconvenience you having to either walk or take the subway.

Duration of process: 2 full hours including the subway ride. The actual medical was probably 30 minutes.

Cost: 191.50$

Experience: very easy just be prepared to wait a lot. Dr. Seit saw me for less than 10 minutes. He checked the usual: blood pressure, vision, ears, mouth, chest, abdomen and a 2 second peek down there.

Office hours: last appointment with Medisys is 2:30 pm Tuesdays or Thursdays. X-ray place stays open until 6pm. Results are ready to be picked up in 2 business days.

Addtional comment: Medisys doesn't know anything about possibility to claim with insurance companies.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy holidays!

Dr. Seiden's is easier and parking on the street is the normal fee by meter. I'd recommend there.

Yes, I agree. Dr. Seiden may have been easier... At least, they know that their medical costs can be reimbursed by insurance whereas Medisys didn't know anything about that....so if you have supplementary insurance, go with Dr. Seiden. Below is a quote that I got from their website, under the medical costs section. http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/ExamCosts.htm

"The cost of the medical examination, blood testing and x-ray is NOT a benefit of Canadian Provincial government health insurance plans. You may be able to obtain reimbursement from private insurance or your sponsoring employer."
